What people have to remember is no matter how passionate you are about the club at the end of the day its a business
We are in the middle of a pandemic with no fans allowed at clubs and incomings massively down . If the club can tread water safely through this and survive on its own then thats a perfect scenario at the moment and exactly what the club should be doing.
Since we got relegated Tan has spent over £20 million to try and get promoted again, its not as if he has totally closed his wallet. This year alone were were the 4th highest spenders in the league plus adding 4 premier league loan signings. Warnock before he left spent over £15million in the summer for a championship season.
Tan has shown his ambition with the money he's given the last two managers , the problem is the managers have failed him

Always City wrote:“Tan’s Program” !! There has been a lot of opinions about whether N. Harris should be replaced. I like many have given mine. Perhaps we are all asking the wrong question. The right question is :
“what is Tan’s program for the Club today?”
Does he want to spend money on buying players , players’ wages and a new manager (with a new management team) ?
It is all down to one word MONEY!!! Personally , I do not think there is any “extra” money available. In fact Harris was chosen because there was no money available. Yes - we bought players but we also sold - yes we paid wages on good loan players but we also saved on wages big time. I do not think Tan is in a spending mood - since Warnock left. He withdrew £32 million from last year’s parachute payment and who knows about this season ? As fans we all would love an owner to spend , but we have no right and anyway have no say in that. Perhaps , he’s had enough , perhaps COVID 19 has had an effect. Perhaps I am wrong and he wants to spend. Do I want a better manager and better players ? Yes !!!! Can we afford that ? It is not for you or I to answer , nor is it for the manager or the Board ..... it is down to one man Tan !!!
We have no right to insist ...... it is his money , his vision and his ambition ........ if we don’t like it then what ? Replace him ? There can be no one - not now ! We can all wish and give opinions and that includes the Chairman , CEO and Manager ...... it is not our money or our call. Hard facts ! Sorry - but this is the truth.

We are a big enough club to remain there without much investment from him. I will go so far to say he is preparing to sell us.

Slade was but I think Trollope was brought in because of his Success as a coach with Wales which at the time didn’t seem like a too bad idea but sadly failed.
Cardiff City are a well established Championship club who every 4ish years will peak, triumph and fail with a 3 year recovery plan.
And to be honest I am not too disappointed in.

20 mill to get promoted.... no mate we sold manga , ken, and bobby reid.... which funded that...we were already losing sol, gunner and the loan signings... so this was not chucking 20 mill into strengthening..it was filling the gaps left by the short termism from the previous 2 years.... im not Tan out i think over all he has been a decent owner .. but dont go along with this pretending it was something it really was not either....

But he didn't have to spend it did he ?
He could have said find cheaper players from the lower leagues. Be never he put the money back in to back his manager for another go at promotion.
So yes he spent £20million
