They are booing the players for doing something they have every right to do if they want. I understand the argument they are booing BLM the political movement. But quite clearly they have attempted to brand it as taking a stand against racism. So when the players take a knee they are doing it for that.
Booing that is a little controversial.
However also the right of the individual so banning them is a bit much.

surely if they have every right to do it so fans have every right to boo it ?
personally i dont think they have the right as FIFA have a pretty dim view of politicising football only they have bottled this one..
as for the re brand.. im sure you can think of a number of body gestures that mean now what they have always meant... you cant just jump off and say erm it means something else on Mondays ,wednesdays and Saturdays...unless of course we protest / riot / attack monuments on a Saturday in which case it reverts to its real meaning...

BBC receives 266 complaints over Vicar of Dibley
The BBC has received 266 complaints about a scene in The Vicar Of Dibley, referencing the Black Lives Matter movement.
In last week's Christmas episode, Dawn French's character, Reverend Geraldine Granger, took the knee and delivered a sermon about racism.
The corporation has previously defended the sitcom scene.
It said in a statement it "was in keeping with the character and the theme of the show".
French's character is shown being filmed by parishioner and farmer Owen Newitt as she tells the audience she has been preoccupied with the "horror show" of the death of George Floyd, who died while in US police custody.
Mr Floyd, an unarmed black man, was killed in May while being arrested by police in Minneapolis, Minnesota, sparking anti-racism protests around the world.

Yeah I said that it was the right of the people to boo if they wished.

But they are not taking on board why they are getting booed. There lies the issue.
The booing has a strong argument for it but what we are seeing is a stubborn attitude from the EFL or whoever is pushing this. For me they have dug themselves in a hole and through their own ignorance are digging that hole deeper.
Banning them is well out of order. To accuse them of being racist because they booed is right judgemental where they should take the log out of their own eye before they take the speck out of others. I will most likely not boo but whatever I do, most likely turn my back on them, if I get questioned by them then that will be the end of me ever walking through the turnstiles of CCS.

It’s a huge mess.
It’s why politics is best left out of sport.
Sport is too emotional.

We all remember that the Chinese communist rebellion started with their 4th tier teams taking the knee for equality....
