' CARDIFF CITY GAME CANCELLED COVID '

Wed Dec 23, 2020 4:34 pm

Rotherham’s game on Saturday January 2nd is off because of Covid...are you concerned about losing fixtures now?

NEIL HARRIS:

I wouldn’t say concerned but I think the general reality is we’ll do very well to get to the end of the season by hook or crook us not losing a fixture, whether that’s due to our own positive tests over the course of the next five months, whether that’s other teams, whether that’s Rotherham. We don’t know.

I think the reality is there’s a quickening of teams that have to pull out of fixtures at the moment and that’s just reality.

You look at society, you look at what’s coming here on Christmas Day for us into a new lockdown and tier 4 and what’s happening around the rest of the UK, I think we’ll all be a little bit naive to think there’s not going to be more fixtures called off in the coming weeks.

Neil Harris should be glad of the rest after recent comments? ;)

Loads us up later in the season but (hopefully) by then we will have a couple back and something to play for :ayatollah:

My first thought as well. Could be an advantage. Players back from injury, like Isaac Vassell.

Quite a few clubs are recently having to postpone games due to Covid.

I don't think it would be the worst idea if football had a circuit-breaker of no football for a couple of weeks in January.

its all they can do to fit the fixtures in as it is.... how is a circuit breaker going to work with football clubs hundreds of miles apart anyway....

Not bothered about Rotherham we'll slaughter them.

Better off Covid postpones games with the chasing pack then we get all our top guns back.
