i think most of the conspiracy theories revolve around the reaction or over reaction..not to the fact that its something that does not exist... as for kids being tested i doubt very much age groups where very very few were actually becoming ill were top of anyones list for testing when capacity was less than one hundreth of what it is now...

Yet the government insist on trying to keep the schools open,education is important,but stopping the spread of the virus should be the most important part

This is what a virus does, it mutates,they are going to have to change vaccine to keep up! Although they are "quite sure" the vaccine will work on the new strain(not the 3rd)
The trouble is in getting enough of the vaccine to those in most urgent need,and ive just been reading,those who have had it already,must have the 2nd dose 21 days later,but there are delays already,meaning they may not have 2nd jab in the time frame specified by manufacturer.

Yes wales has higher aging population in proportion to other age groups... but have barely started rolling it out for over 80s! Cant see wales getting fully done until late next year .

I vaguely remember a uk politician faking something for benefit of the press years ago? Politicians certainly wont want extra deaths from cancer/heart diseases ect to be shouted out to loud as that will start recriminations of how boris failed to handle pandemic and allowed nhs to fall apart!!

i honestly dont think any of those graphs, illness calculators or anything else would now work... people either know exactly how many are dying... or have an inflated figure in mind that they for some reason do not want to question...
im more concerned how easily everyone has accepted it than of covid itself...

I can assure you covid is not a hoax, me and my partner are 24 and 26, fit and healthy and we tested positive and were both really ill and my mrs was advised to go to hospital because of her breathing, thankfully we both recovered and no real bad long lasting effects, so I can assure everyone it is not a hoax, I do understand that we are one of the unlucky ones though who had bad symptoms whilst most will have mild or no symptoms

Its become more and more obvious by the day that Schools universities and holidays are to blame for the rises in cases

Hard as it may be we need to shut them until February whilst allowing businesses to open to protect the economy

Anything else is just kicking the can down the road to next winter when it will just start again

Don't forget this current variant of the virus originated in Northern Spain. It was foreign travel that helped it arrive here after we had cleared the virus down over the summer .

This new mutation of it apparently originated here which is why other countries have banned us travelling already which we failed to do end of the summer.

Totally agree. Brought students back (and school) and it started going through the roof.

The students catch it, isolate and have to work online anyway so no upside to actually bringing them back.
