Personally I don’t see the point in sacking Neil Harris, with a very very tight budget Harris has done ok, not fantastic, not brilliant but ok.
Why sack him?
There are not that many better managers out there who can do much better under this board and very tight budget so for me Harris may as well finish this season as I can’t see the board getting a better manager as he would want a good budget and I don’t see that becoming available.
Will they replace Harris with anyone better? personally I believe they would not, so lets see out this season.
I do hope if they decide to keep Harris he is allowed to bring in a few more players come January as the squad for me is way to small.
Updated:
4pts of top 6 , 3 games to go for Neil Harris.
We can in my opinion make top 6 in January and in May if Harris is backed, Top 2 No.
Sat Dec 26 CARDIFF CITY v BRENTFORD

Again kudos to you Annis, and I'm in agreement, no point sacking him at present, give him some backing if we are within touching distance come Jan, not necessarily top six,but say within 3/4 points.![]()

Assuming we don't get promoted this season then further much larger cutbacks are going to be needed next season and the question is whether Harris will then be the man to cope with potentially a weakened squad.
Usually relegated teams who get promoted again do so in the first couple of seasons after relegation or they can enter a spiral of failure which sees Sunderland and Portsmouth where they are now. In recent times clubs the size of Forest, Leeds and even Man City spent time in the old third division.
I worry that after this season our ambitions will become more about survival in this division rather than promotion out of it.

I've always believed the board aren't stupid enough to think promotion with this - or an improved squad - would bring anything other than immediate relegation. What it would bring however, is another cycle of parachute payments which could support a more long-term strategy.
