Last four goals conceded backed off the opposition and let them run at us with the ball.

Why is it that we fans see this yet the man who matters doesnt or cant see the problem so does nothing to address problem?

Spot on. I could see we were going to concede the moment their players picked the ball up. Our defenders were backing off and giving them space to go another 5 yards. You cant do that 25 yards from goal. Basic error.

I’ve looked over the last few goals conceded and I have to say that Curtis Nelson is guilty of backing off and not covering / making a challenge. It’s probably of secondary importance but his distribution is awful too.
Benkovic needs to come in now that Bacuna has a one match ban, with CN moving to right back. We’ve nothing to lose. Please Neil, don’t put Bamba in at centre back - great servant but looks unfit atm.

I think Bacuna is OK as we have passed the first booking amnesty. 10 bookings before a suspension now although it will be 2 games if you get there. Not sure when the next amnesty is but I think it's around 32-33 games.

I think any decent manager will see it as well and despite the fact we play 4-4-2 or 4-4-1-1 away from home there always seems to be a big space between our CB and CM space that teams are exploiting. I think it was the 88th minute when HW tried to burst through to the edge of their box and Hanley was on him in an instant. In comparison Nelson would be on the penalty spot moving backwards.

Both their goals could have been prevented yesterday by organised and committed defending.

That’s good news.
Keep the same changes then and put Bacuna and Ralls as midfielders - never ever play Joe at 10 again. It’s not his position and we lose his effectiveness in the engine room.

Yes we all saw those goals. Yes we all know the problem.

If our manager hadn’t left the RB position exposed Bacuna may have been more effective as a busy player blocking those type of goals.

These are professional footballers, do they have to be told by the manager how to defend. Not sticking up for Harris here, but surely they have played enough football to know not to keep backing off. I was screaming at the television to close their player down. Also don't understand why he didn't use 5 subs. He could have made a couple of subs at half time and then make the other 3 with 15-20 minutes to go, just to freshen things up and at least compete with Norwich.
