THE PLAYERS CARDIFF NEED TO LET GO IF THEY WANT SUCCESS

Sat Dec 19, 2020 9:47 pm

Whoever reads this from the club take this with a pinch of salt because us fans only want the best for the team.

The Issues:

WE WILL NEVER GET A FIT TOMLIN:
Whether he is recovering or not I think we Cardiff fans will unfortunately never see the best of Lee Tomlin due to him being injury prone. Its a shame because we are missing him at the moment in the team.

LACK OF QUALITY MIDFIELDERS:

Now I know manager Harris has to play the players he has in front of him but its the same issues when they come and that is they dont close down players and when they get the ball they cant keep it for a lengthy amount of time.

The Players Cardiff Needs To Let Go Are:
Lee Tomlin
Greg Cunningham
Gavin Whyte
Junior Hoilett
Josh Murphy
Marlon Pack
Aden Flint
Sol Bamba

Just the 8 players?
I suppose you'll be linking us with Bale and Ramsey again to fill the gaps?

Of course all the players you've mentioned are only bit part players without much impact on the squad...

Pack - 14 starts, 5 sub appearances (19 total). 42 Appearances last season.
Hoilett - 12 starts, 5 sub appearances (17 total). 45 Appearances last season.
Murphy - 4 starts, 6 sub appearances (10 total). 33 Appearances last season.
Tomlin - 39 appearances with 9 goals and 10 assists last season and who was by far our best player. Who is still our best player along with Wilson and will thankfully be back in January.

We don't have the luxury of getting rid of 8 players, most of whom still play games for us. Our squad just simply isn't big enough. We had 2 teenagers on the bench today who don't even have Wikipedia pages, I've never even heard of a Zimba or Patten.

Don’t worry Sam, we all take what you write with a pinch of salt.

on last seasons form, if Tomlin can come back and play the last run of the season he's worth the wages for the whole year. He's a match winner and some forget, our player of the year last season. We rushed him back in this year and paid the price.

We are still in the chasing pack without Tomlin...when he returns hopefully we will still be there to push on

I said at the time,he was injured, when a risk was taken to play him,due to the chance of play offs, and he is now paying the price for it,i believe he should have had surgery, instead the risk almost paid off,but not for him personally. He will be back, and talent doesnt disappear overnight, hopeful to see him and wilson on the field together.
