' LAST NIGHTS MATCH '

Well where do I start?

We started brightly and went a goal up, thanks to a great assist off Wilson and a great finish by Glatzel. I thought to myself we are going to run riot here, but what did I know :laughing6: another silly mistake and Birmingham were level. What on earth was Nelson doing, he could have given away a penalty before they equalized he was all over their attacker.

From there on we were back to defending as Brum were looking to do more than just sit back and defend, they were looking for a winner, and it duly arrived after Bennett lost his marker and the attacker ran through our defense like a knife through butter, we really need to sort this out. well, we had a penalty so no Ralls to take it and up stepped Glatzel. This stuttering run that players do when taking a penalty is absolute rubbish, just run and hit the bloody ball!. When looking at the replay, Glatzel telegraphed where he was going to put the ball and made it easy for Etheridge to save, he was ready to dive to his left and it would have been easy for Glatzel to put it to his right, have a look at the replay and see if you think the same.

In the second half I thought we would pick it up but it was Birmingham who did that, I though this is not going to be our night, boy was I wrong again. twenty five minutes to go and we seemed to wake up, it was all us looking for a winner, the game was changed when Harris came on and a change of formation.

Much maligned Pack played a brilliant ball through to Wilson, splitting the defense and although a tight angle Wilson scored with a tremendous let foot shot. 2-2 all to play for :bluebird:

We were now going for it and the goal duly arrived from our captain, Morrison who was left completely unmarked to score the winner, 3-2 but done the hard way.

Although a good win I think that Nelson needs a rest and we should bring in Benkovic and Cunningham instead of Bennett not saying its all their fault, but something needs to be done to stop us leaking silly goals.

I am elated at the win but a better team than Birmingham would have buried us.

I know they are all big games but Norwich Saturday is a big one, after all my negativity It would not surprise me to see us win Saturday, although I would settle for a point. :laughing6: :ayatollah: :bluescarf:

I am not a Neil Harris fan as the football we play is not the best style. I slatted him after Saturdays game but the win last night, 5 out of the last 6 is a fantastic return. Well done Harris but I still don't he is the man for the job.
