That game had everything. We were brilliant and dreadful in equal measure. Harris has the team within striking distance of the play offs but we just have to be better and more consistent than tonight to reach the top 6. Interesting how Derby turned over the Jacks tonight. Perhaps their energy levels were not there because they rightfully cared about the derby at the weekend and put their efforts in to that.

I’ll ask you again after we play Norwich and Brentford :ayatollah: we won’t beat Wycombe either :ayatollah:

Awful performance and it just papers over the cracks.

The next 5 games will tell us a lot. We have 2 very tough games back to back, followed by 3 games that look winnable on paper. If we can take 11 points from those, we are flying, 9 is acceptable and anything less would be disappointing.

In reality we have taken 15/18 points on offer, promotion form!!
My main concern is both bamba & Cunningham get a couple of minutes, but no benkovic again?? Is he that poor,he is behind those two in the pecking order??

Re: What ever we say about Harris or even the poor performan

Whats unbelievable is if we beat Norwich we could only be 6 points off top place on Saturday night

Like I've said in the past , it can only be due to some sort of pay clause in the loan contract. We obviously pay more of his wages if he plays. Absolutely no other reason for him not even getting a few minutes.

Then its a waste of a place, someone who would actually play could have been given his place??

Perfect back up and doesn't cost a penny if he doesn't play . Would anyone else have played before Nelson and Morrison?
I dont think Harris would have dropped Nelson and Morrison anyway

I thought there was a lot of emotional over reaction on here about the players not trying or caring. I will always maintain this is a really good bunch of characters who will dig in and scrap, this still has the Warnock DNA. The Jack manager simply won the tactics game and i just accept it as that.

I said a few month ago I didn't think Harris is any better than Slade and if I have shifted in that opinion it is I think Slade was probably a bit better.

A more savvy manager may be able to get us into 5th or 6th but the likelihood is we'll be 10th ~ 12th. Harris is predictable and the team dug him out last night through character and Harry Wilsons ability.

The board have a big decision soon. Have they found their next recruit and is he available ? Otherwise Harris will be here to the summer.

Its a reults game, and why sack a manager that has just taken 15 from 18pts on offer?? If we can replicate that over the rest of the season,we will be right in the mix.

Automatic promotion form too though we are not going to catch the top two. The Benkovic thing is beyond imcomprehensible. Leicester paid £13 million for him. He is a Croation International. Bristol City and Celtic fans say he was outstanding for them on loan and yet even Bamba is preferred as a sub. We could do with some squad rotation and he has not played for a minute. It's just completely bizarre. Has there been any explanation from Harris? Morrisson and Nelson are not going to play the whole season uninjured and he looks the ideal replacement but Leicester will rightly recall him in January and the only cover we will have is Bamba who is knocking on a bit.

i think people are swayed by what Leicester paid mate... maybe Harris doesnt think he is as good as what we have and is hardly going to come out and say that any more than saying it about other players he has chosen to not play....... yes he played 20 games and did ok for Celtic ,but how stretched are Celtic CBs in that division...?

I think its more of a case of fans being fed up of conceding soft goals, fed up of the football we play and seeing Nelson and morrison smashing everything long when we've got a pretty highly rated ball playing CB sat on the bench.

Murphy cost us £11mill. I dont think the price tag is the reason people want to see benkovic play.

You comment on most threads, I am sure you are aware of what the general opinion is on Harris and our style of play.

I'm all for playing to the teams strengths and think that the result is more important than the performance. But I am under no illusion of how we play-its horrible to watch and is only made bearable if we win. Its the reason warnock went and why Harris was probably one game away from going. Even after winning a lot of people are still complaining about it.

harris nearly went because of over cautious nonsense football.....this division is awash with it..take a look at our first goal against birmigham , they were in safe possession...their defence was not set a stupid pass and bang 1 nil... every week youll see half a dozen of those in highlights all by teams/ coaches that think they can pass better than they can.. ..and thats exactly what we were doing and why our pretty good goals against column is not the best in the division... . personally i thought we scored 3 good goals last night and thats what i want...its about winning football matches..

The goals we've scored doesnt change the fact that some of the goals we've conceded have been completely amateur. Its difficult to change a winning team, but we've played more than the last 6 games this season. We played 13 games before that and we were pretty poor for most of them. Sloppy defending and quite painful to watch us trying to pass it out from the back. It's not unreasonable for the fans to want to see a change that could have improved both situations when we've had the option sat on the bench all season.
