Bobby Reid

Sun Dec 13, 2020 6:47 pm

What’s Bobby Reid worth now, 4 goals already from midfield this season. Many on here were chuffed when we got our money back but he must be worth £20m now? Fulham deserved to beat Liverpool this afternoon denied a clear penalty yet Liverpool saved by a doubtful hand ball?

Worth NOTHING to us; didn't want to play and was one of the three (I'm told Cunningham and Murphy were the others) that Neil Warnock tore new ones out of over attitude and in-house stirring; hence he was suddenly let go

We did well getting back what we did for him and if he is now finally doing his job, he should at some point take a long, hard look at himself regarding his time here whether he feels he 'fitted in' to the team ethos or not

Spot on Chris and I remember one particular poster saying he’d never even start in the Fulham side.
He’s a good player but unfortunately not for us.

I wish we could do the same with the complete waste of space that is Murphy

Thanks, Paul

Ironically, I just posted elsewhere that Murphy should be given a run in the team over Christmas and let it be 'make or break' for him. Cost too much and paid too much to be a 'squad' player and needs to show up or ship out soon

Glad he's gone. Ponce. Want to play for us you'll be welcomed and worshipped IF we think you deserve it.

Bobby Decorator Reid not a chance.

Good riddance to a waste of skin.

Once we signed Victor, Warnock could not find a way of playing both him and Reid in the same side. He obviously chose Victor (whether for contractual reasons or not I dont know), but Reid got the hump and wanted out

Yes he acted like a spoilt brat, and yes he ain't a superstar, but something caused the breakdown in the relationship. If a club signs you for £10m then he could probably have expected to play more often, but he became a bit part player and got the hump. Def not a Warnock type player or attitude.

But he also doesnt look worth £2m let alone 10 or 11m!
We all get the hump with our bosses, but we still show up for work, and do whats required to keep a job!!I would like nothing more, than for him to prove me wrong, but he has to step up big time to do that, remember waiting for zohore to be the striker we knew he could be?? His time never came either, apart from one purple patch for one half a season.

The concern I have, is how much are we going to lose on him, should we try and sell him, unless he starts showing his undoubted ability,I fear it will be a big loss indeed.

I liked Reid, thought he was a good player and deserved more of a run up front.

Whatever went on behind the scenes is another matter. There is no doubt we downgraded after selling him, but it is correct to say he didn't seem to fit the manager/club culture.
