Why do so many City fans love it when we lose?

Sat Dec 12, 2020 6:14 pm

Fair enough, we were piss poor this afternoon. But the rhetoric against the manager and his team is over the top. Get behind the club for goodness sake!

Re: Why do so many City fans love it when we lose?

We have seen many abject performances this season. Support the club win lose or draw, but the level of performance today was abysmal.
The players and team need to know that this is not acceptable.
They were lucky it was not a 30k crowd present, then they really would know.

Nobody gets more disappointed than me when city lose no matter who we play to be fair I got nothing personal against neal Harris but he wouldn’t have been my choice to be our manager I did say at the time I hope they don’t make him our next manger

I really hate when we lose but, get really disappointed when we lose to the Jacks. We never show any passion when we play them,Harris doesn’t know how to pick a team that can play to win,if they do well in the 5 minutes of training they get picked to play.

Yep, agree!

Sadly, there is an element within the club and on this Forum (not all Bluebirds no matter what they would have you believe) who persistently look to 'knock' the club and team at EVERY opportunity

For some (and I leave out the Forum Fraud, as he isn't a Bluebird despite often pretending to to be one) it is a 'sport' to troll this and other Forums just to get a rise and to obtain self-gratification (thankfully out of sight of the masses)

BarryWelsh88 (took him 6 whole minutes today! ) and DEANO are well known 'nip in, nip out' merchants waiting for the opportunity to pounce on anything negative but there are now sadly many others

We have lost so many of the better posters in recent times and that is sometimes reflected in the quality of the end product in many a negative or derailed thread

A tough game today and we deserved what we got, i.e. nothing; but we move on and most will get behind the team for the next game, as it has been and always should be for a true Bluebird supporter :thumbright:

Perhaps people's opinions shouldn't be slapped down so often? It doesn't encourage healthy debate.

Just an observation. And I like Harris too.

No real fan or real football fan would ever want their team to
Lose NEVER :thumbright: :bluebird:

Top post mate.

Many good posters have left and I’m glad you posted some of the fakes on here.

I rarely come on here nowadays but I bet the BarryWelsh guy wasn’t commenting when we had the winning run recently? .... just a guess!

What an absolute shower of shite comment.

It was the same team that won four on the Trot including away to Watford.

He certainly wan't, Paul. He was typically not seen for some time...just like DEANO and others ;)

They know what they do and they enjoy the notoriety

Ironically, we see (above) the sudden return of the negative multi 'The Prophet of Doom' ;)

Timing, they say, is everything and some, including this guy, have a 'character' for every occasion! ;)

Always been easier to distroy than create I guess. Always been behind our team and managers. (On the field)

But I will always call all out big business and football corps for shafting the customer/fan. (Off the field)

Norhing wrong with critical thinking or we will become zombies otherwise. Like this season, everyone should be issued full refund regardless of club tv stance .

Call this shit out ffs. Poor millionaires are struggling are they, well screw them.

They are the new type of supporter loyalty and trust are by words.

I’ve sat by many of them over the years like the ones sat behind who are discussing the match and say “why don’t they put Whitt’s on” this is in the 70minute and he’s been on since the kick off.

We couldn’t have had any free kicks that day then.

Whitts was amazing but he could let games pass him by.

I used Whitt’s as he came to my mind first. Just struck me that people came to watch and either didn’t know any of the players or had woken up after a sleep to realise there was a game on.

Oh for the old days :ayatollah:

Karl, sadly you are so right!

I'm lucky where I am; we've had the same brilliant group since the new stadium opened but the overall dynamic has changed and it's far too easy to blame the stadium rather than the reduction in real passion amongst supporters

We were awful Saturday but the reaction of some supporters is beyond belief. The abuse directed at the team as a whole and individual players is appalling.

Thats the beauty of the forum, people can vent their spleens!! Ive always said,as my dad did, save any abuse for the final whistle, because I dont believe it achieves anything,if boos are ringing out,or players are being verbally abused during the game.

Afterwards? well apart from physical attacks, then scream what you want I say.

Annis, the supporters are 'passionate' on occasion and have proved the new stadium 'works' when they are in full voice; but far too often we have sat in a subdued arena only to 'come alive' after the team do something to stir us up

If I am being honest, I do put a large part of the blame on the 'style' of football being served up in recent years where the trade off has been for ground out results

I wouldn’t want to rely on some of the negative people who post on here to have my back. It was one bad result in five and I’m going to take an educated guess and say that no one will be hurting as much as the players themselves.

Positivity breads confidence.

Football is dying a bit, I used to now I'm just slightly frustrated but get over it in ten minutes, it's a bit sad really. I hope that changes when we can go again, but I don't think I'll get that true excitement, and anger when we lose back ever again?
