VINCE ALM:
One manager in 20 years has taken this fixture seriously Malky Mackay.
Another lack lustre Derby performance unfortunately no energy, no game plan, no desire, no idea.
Another game to forget quickly

Vince, agree. It must have been bad for you to right this. Ralls and Vaulks are so slow. I think Harris was out managed today with them bossing the midfield. Shocking performance. Time for Bellamy. Harris has to go.

NO DESIRE in a local derby - says it all!
all players should give a weeks wages to TY-Hafan

Don't agree DJ more often than not beat them once a season.

What utter bollox from Vince !
We had a player sent off trying "too hard". He was just outnumbered, chasing shadows all day and got found out. They were all taking it seriously (IMO)
There was a reason the 442 got surpassed by 4231 in recent years as you are effectively playing with an extra CM so it 3 v 2 and you play in the space between the 442 lines. Swansea are very effective in there formation and it exposed 442's weakness as our two strikers were living off scraps especially when your wingers are not really wingers and don't go on the outside of the fullback.
Vaulks and Ralls have held their own allowing the two strikers more opportunities in the last four games. We had to match up Swansea and take off Harris for Pack , and pushed Wilson and Ojo as inside forwards......But, Harris never, he did nothing. He is fcuking useless and we all know it.

I don’t get the reason vince why they try to play this fixture down I know it’s not a local derby as there a good forty miles between the to clubs what I would say to those mangers come and live in Neath and port talbot and Llanelli where our support from outside Cardiff comes from then some of these managers might think differently including neal Harris

As Jones took great delight in pointing out - it was just another game to him and another three points to be won.
He didn't care if it was Swansea or any other team.
Sat Dec 12, 2020 6:05 pm
Sticky wicket what vince is trying to say was Dave jones did playing it down even though he got us a win
Sat Dec 12, 2020 6:07 pm
Absolute rubbish again from this guy
All of our managers took this game seriously , they might have made mistakes but they took it seriously.
Surprised it's not Tans fault we lost
Sat Dec 12, 2020 6:11 pm
Not sure if I’m correct here, but Malky only managed us in the one game v Swansea.

Playing it down is fine if the team put a performance in, and they did under DJ several times. Apart from one cagey 1-0 win since by Malky in the PL we haven't turned up. Never beat the jacks as they continually remind us. Harris out!!!!

Harris must go, but not Bellamy

Very poor statement made by Vince.
City put out the best team available at this moment in time but the Jacks were superior in every department.
It doesn't matter who the manager was, the Jacks were by far the better team.
If 5 games ago someone told me that Harris would win 4 games out of the next 5, I would have questioned their sanity.
12 points out of 15 will do me.
I have every confidence in Harris after his results over the last 3 weeks when we looked dead and buried.
To say a manager doesn't take a fixture seriously shows a distinct lack of knowledge and respect.
Why would he not take it seriously?
We weren't there, the Jacks weren't there, it was only on the telly,
Once the players cross the whitewash it's up to them.

yep.must be bad ..real level headed fella...
1 win in 6 = stop moaning , its all about survival
4 wins out of 5 = moan himself that the manager didnt take it seriously

Huw, Honestly under DJ there was Mo passion at all he was just lucky to always have a quality/ talented squad .

The truth is from the top to the bottom our club Cardiff City has sadly lost its feelings / passion with our fans where as for a fact I sadly have to admit the Jacks have that with their fans

There was passion Annis, the 2-2 draw at Ninian with a late Ross McCormack and the 2-1 come back are better than ANY manager has managed since apart from a drab 1-0 win from Malky. I know you hate DJ but don't gloss over the facts, Warnock had a decent squad, Harris has a decent squad and they've served up shit in the Derby. OGS took a battering at the liberty but we were a basket case by then. Dj has done better against the Jacks than all our managers in the last 20 years back to Vince's post, FACT. Without churning through the record books he had at least 2 wins and a draw.

I actually looked forward to watching Dave Jones's teams. They played attractive attacking football. Since 2011 we have in all fairness been relatively successful results wise but the football has been attritional. I certainly don't believe that Harris is the man to progress us and he has had to revert to type and play Warnockball. And perhaps he doesn't merit it at the moment but I hope when he is sacked at some point in the future we try and appoint a progressive manager. Today was the last straw for me. Outplayed and out coached. Harris Out!

The reply from John Hewitson Facebook was a good and (maybe) valid one...
We talked about 'a game too far' and 'fatigued players' after the midweek win and so it proved
After a few hours of reflection, for me, I don't think the Bluebirds played any differently today (maybe the big issue in a so-called 'derby' game) but they certainly weren't as effective as the previous four games
Fatigue? Poor team selection/formation? A decent Swansea team? Or a mix all four?
Today it was a mix of the four; but fatigue showed I several players and we've now (likely) lost Keiffer Moore for a couple of weeks at best
As for many posts seen on this and other threads, I said on Thursday that 'Nukes' Harris Poll was premature and the usual suspects haven't let me down
It might have been Swansea but four wins out if five for us was a dream only two weeks ago, so time to get a grip and take stock. I'm sure the players will be embarrassed but will also feel they've run through walls for the manager in that period and even though I still have my doubts on Neil Harris, I cannot fault what their effort, if not the actual result today

OK Jones didn't reach the promised land. Well it took Alan Dicks 10 years to get Bristol City promoted.
Since Jones left we have lurched between 2 promotions to relegation to cost cutting .. There's no stability.
It's been short term policies all the way.
We've got no fucker to sell for big bucks. The Jack's sold Roden and don't look none the worse for it.

Where has it all gone wrong for us?

Jones failing was he was not consistent enough. If he was he could have got us to the promised land. He by far has had the best squad we have ever had to get their.
For me Malky with Tans support got us over the line to the Premier but that combination was never going to keep us there. There fallout made sure of that and we have never looked like becoming an establish Premier team since. In fact I will go as far as saying we are now at where we should be under Tan. Besides needing a progressive manager I feel we now need a progressive owner if we want to go that step further.

good post , agree with most of it...
regarding the poll though.... thought it was a bit silly, of course people are not going to want him sacked after 4 straight wins...i dont think the 2nd poll meant people had completely changed their minds , just that 4 wins had earned him the right to convince them they were wrong...
