Won't be the last time we lose at home but today the opposition while on paper looked no better than us gave us a footballing lesson, indeed,in my time their easiest ever league win against us.They do what we don't which is pass into space. We never had any movement off the ball today which I feel is a weakness in the side that has existed even before Neal Harris's time.Theres no glossing over this as every side has the same schedule. It wasn't the defeat that annoyed me but rather the manner in which we were embarrassingly bossed.

Seen us lose by 5 at the vetch when we were banned.
This was easily as bad.
Hold their heads in shame, the least we expect is effort, running, movement off the ball.
We had none.
The back 4 , how many more sloppy goals do we give away.
All the good work of the last few weeks undone.
Always supported Bennet but he needs to go.
Always supported Morrison, but he needs to be dropped.

Problem is they both have spurts of being almost unbeatable.... but like today both made errors for 1st goal but more Morrison as the high ball appeared to move away from Bennett!
When ball came in Morrison was facing Lowe but failed to close him down and that is his weakness it's happened numerous times already. One as to go and to me Morrison is the man if only to stop the stupidity of long throws to him while being marked by 2 or more players all season this as been going on and we still persist in it..

All our short comings laid bare indeed,,, including the managers. Harris is not the manager who will take us forward, in-fact, I can see us doing the opposite the longer he stays in charge.

We are not a Swansea style team we would have to change the whole team
our trouble today was we are an old style british football team but we did ' nt play to our strengths we did not close down and impose our play they just past the ball around us
like i said in another post if we changed the manager would it make any difference i fear we would have to change the whole team
if we had a foreign manager come in how many would want pack ralls voukes and nelson and morrison we are still a warnock style team and thats why wilson is not fitting in like when he was scoring every week for derby county under lampard.
Slaven billic could be getting the boot soon though.

It was the Warnock players that let us down today. And a couple that came to prominence under him.I'll bet the Swansea lads couldn't believe how easy that was today.

That’s why the Directors should have addressed this years ago.. they seem to think we don’t like watching football played well.. we don’t even try, just keep signing players with lead boots that other clubs don’t want. It’s bizarre..

When you look at the players Harris has brought in they can all play a bit.Not so the others.

That’s true.. it’ll take some time to change. Pity we can’t jettison a couple who pick up decent money but are lacking at this level.

How much time?
If you can play a bit then do it.

This is all well over the top.
Swansea done their homework, their very defensive set up nullified us, so Harris, Ojo and importantly Wilson couldn't get into the game. The middle of the park was like the Alamo for our two CM's and the Jacks took the piss because Harris couldn't see that after 30 mins they were imposing their game on us not the other way around.
I am in no doubt that this squad shouldn't be in the automatics picture, but all our shortcomings are emanating from the manager. He is not good enough to be at this level and its affects us.
He needs to go at the end of the season

If Harry W was an untried younster from Liverpool, i wonder what we would think of him.
No Criticism of HW, just goes to show how poor we are playing to his strengths.

The people who appoint the managers are responsible for the style of football played.

Good question. In the jan window he needs to suppliment the midfield and the rightback position.

Of course we were beaten man for man all over the pitch because we didn't freshen things up. I know the old addage is don't change a winning team, but with the intensity of games this season, you have to use the whole squad. Surely Harris should have thought that 5 games unchanged is too much. I would have made more changes after the sending off, 10 tired men against 11 was never going to work.

We don't play to his strengths because we play him out of position! Harris seems to be blind on several fronts when it comes to players positions bacuna is another that is wrong it's not as if we haven't got players that naturally play in those positions.

I've watched their 1st goal several times and I think Bennett was probably blinded by the ball dropping with the sun in his eyes, and you see Connor Roberts heads the ball off the top of his head, so not sure he knew where the ball was, but Morrison was so slow to react, in fact he didn't react when the ball came over Nelson's head. That has happened several times where he is beaten to the ball in the six yard box. Surely Harris has to make changes there for Wednesday as he eluded to it being a very poorly given away 1st goal.
Sun Dec 13, 2020 2:15 pm
He needs to use this as a catalyst to change things in defence.
Benko for Morrisson.
Cunningham for Bacuna and move Bacuna back into midfield.
Will he make those changes? Not a chance.

Our biggest issue is midfield. It’s been dire for a few seasons. Ralls is not the answer to anything, neither is vaulks or pack. Swansea knew it and bossed it. Harris must address it.

Simply out coached.....The good thing about the championship is the next game is not very far away to redeem ourselves.
no one was moaning when we had 12/12 point and one own goal against us.

Have said this time and time again Morrison is slow to close down nearest player to Him and its cost us plenty goals like yesterday..... but not hope in hell Harris dropping him... be surprised if did anything on Tues other than
Possibly play glatzel for moore or Harris.

True mate.. the midfield needs replacing completely. Harris should have addressed it already, but if the funds aren’t there he’s stuck. See what happens in January..
