Will Vaulks admits the form of 'boring' Kieffer Moore has been central to Cardiff City's recent upturn in form, adding that the recent introduction of Mark Harris to the first team has also helped bring out the best in the giant striker.
Moore was on the scoresheet once again for City as they earned an impressive 1-0 win over Watford at Vicarage Road on Saturday - his fourth goal in three games.
It's a scoring run that has coincided with a run of three wins on the bounce for the Bluebirds, a string of results that will only serve to further underline the striker's importance for club and country.
That's not to say he's immune to the odd bit of cheeky banter from his team-mates, mind.
Asked about Moore's influence in the dressing room, Vaulks couldn't resist taking a cheeky dig at his team-mate.
He joked: "He's pretty boring to be honest. He doesn't really offer much!
"I've known Kieffer for a while because obviously we played together at Rotherham. He's a great lad and he really just fits in everywhere he goes. He's one of those people that's easy to get along with and he's gelled with the group from minute one really.
"The last few games, he's really shown what I thought he'd bring when he came. He's just an absolute handful. I think he bullied all three of the centre-halves today to be honest.
"I don't think anyone looks at Kieffer and thinks 'yeah, I'd love to play against him', and I think the way we're playing at the moment we're getting the best out of him."
Moore's rich run of form has coincided with the introduction of young forward Harris, who himself has been a revelation for City in recent weeks.
Moore has already opened up on how much he enjoys playing alongside the academy product, and the link-up between the two is clearly not going unnoticed.
"I think Mark Harris has got to take credit," Vaulks added.
"You can't give all the credit to Kieffer. He's been brilliant alongside him and has allowed Kieffer to do what he's good at.
"Sparky's run the channels superbly and that means Kieffer can save his legs a bit and be the big unit we need him to be."
