MY VIEW: SOLID DEFENDING / ORGANISED AND SUPER KIEFFER MOOR

Sat Dec 05, 2020 4:50 pm

MY VIEW / OPINION:

SOLID DEFENDING / ORGANISED AND SUPER KIEFFER MOORE :bluebird: :bluebird:

NEIL HARRIS KEPT THE SAME SIDE FOR THE 3RD MATCH IN A ROW :bluebird:

SO PROUD OF THE BLUEBIRDS / FOUGHT FOR EVERY BALL / WELL DONE HARRIS YOUVE GOT THEM RIGHT UP FOR IT :bluebird: :bluebird:

3 games / 3 Wins / 8 goals / zero conceded :bluebird: :bluebird:

Watford had 2,000 fans, but they were so quiet it was unbelievable.

First-half: City went in one nil up after Moore scored his 8th goal of the season :bluebird: :bluebird:
Confidence was flowing and City looked solid :bluebird: :bluebird:

Second-half:

WATFORD v CARDIFF CITY
H-T 0-1 :bluebird:
Crowd 2,000

Cardiff City: Smithies; Bacuna, Morrison, Nelson, Bennett; Wilson, Vaulks, Ralls, Ojo; Harris, Moore.

Subs: Phillips, Bamba, Benkovic, Cunningham, Pack, Hoilett, Murphy, Whyte, Glatzel.

A really solid first half of the first half from the Bluebirds. Going forward with real ambition, but it's not produced many clear-cut chances just yet.

A well deserved goal by Kieffer Moore and just loved City's celebrations :bluebird: :bluebird:

43rd min
Ralls deliverd a lovely corner and Morrison challenged for it. The ball dropeds down near the penalty spot and Moore swung a left foot at it and it scurried through a body of legs and nestles into the bottom corner.H-T 0-1 :bluebird: :bluebird:

H-T 0-1 :bluebird: :bluebird:

Watford made one change, Femenia on for Ngakia at the break for Watford.

A little scrappy at the start of this second half, but Watford were looking a little better.

Watford made more changes
Cleverley off, Hughes on.

Sema off, Quina on.

Incredible save!

The ball was dinked over the top and Wilson lost his man. It fell to Quina and he tools a touch and drilled a shot at goal, but Smithies makes himself big to deny him! :bluebird: :bluebird:

70th min
Hoilett on for Harris

It was all Watford, but Cardiff were organised and solid at the bak.

Brilliant result and performance.

We were outstanding defensively, and really battled to get that win.

Such a transformation from a couple of weeks ago.

Best result of the season so far.

Thought we look very comfortable.

Yes Watford had most of the play near the end and that was expected but they never look like scoring. This is a good Watford side that are one of the favourites to go up. I'm not taking much from this but it does look like now we are capable of competing against these top clubs.

Watford fans started singing but quickly got on their players backs. The minus to having fans in.

Well done City.

They were reporting on Sky Sports News that Watford fans were leaving early even though they hadn’t had a game to watch since March!

A great win for City today and (for me) made better by both another Keiffer Moore goal and a clean sheet against a very potent scoring team in Watford

Looking at the table sees us closing the (Watford :laughing6: ) gap but also shows the task we have in closing in on the top 6 over the next three weeks or so

Two steps forward and the odd step back will likely happen in coming games but we should take heart at the massive difference in the last three games versus those that came before

C'mon City! This is Moore like it...! :ayatollah: :bluescarf: :bluebird: :D

Echo that. 2 games against top 6 teams coming up.

Maddening it took a pathetic display at Coventry to get the team cohesive. There is purpose and shape.

Perfectly executed away performance.

What does Benkovic have to do to get a game. Noticed Harris brought on Bamba instead. Knowing outer luck Leicester will recall him in January and one of or both Morrison will be get injured.

Yeah they were with the score one nil and Watford attacking. Weird. Was just after the tannoy had said stay in your seats at the final whistle too.

Thoroughly professional performance from @CardiffCityFC , best win since Leeds given nature of the opposition. Defence outstanding, Vaulks has added so much to midfield since replacing Pack, Ralls combative as always. But Morrison again MoM for me, defending . Quality.

Thought we bossed the first half 2nd they stepped up and we did slip into our own half but did' nt sit in
and kept pushing forward as much as poss which i was very pleased with more than anything
you got to keep threatning otherwise you will be over run great game to watch all we want now is dripford to let us back in i am sure we could make more noise than watford did.

It looked like they wanted to leave but the stewards wouldn’t allow them

I was one of the blokes calling fo Harris to go 10 days or so ago. But so glad to admit it looks like I was wrong. Fantastic agin tonight and also made the changes at the right time to keep it tight. Roll on Stoke Tuesday night!

Would have taken 9 from the last 12 on offer. Typical city to do it thehard way but that's a hell of a statement of intent. Great job lads
