Appointed New Manager Lee Johnson of Sunderland






SUNDERLAND SET TO APPOINT JOHNSON

Sunderland are hoping to announce Lee Johnson as their new head coach in the next 24 hours.

The former Bristol City manager has been in the North East for face-to-face talks and has particularly impressed the Sunderland hierarchy.

They also held talks with former Huddersfield boss Danny Cowley. Sunderland will announce their new technical director Kristjan Speakman later on Friday, with Johnson set to follow.

Good luck to him. Just hope Sunderland will be happy with the odd decent cup run and finishing just outside the play off every season :occasion5:

Against bottom club Wigan who had 1 shot in the entire game

To be fair, he was only appointed a few hours before kick off so I doubt he had a big factor in that result.

I think he'll do well in League One, but he's not good enough for the Championship.

Got a lot of time for Sunderland fans so hope to see them back in the Championship soon.

im not keen on him...but all things considered he did ok at Bristol... stopped them going down in his first year and had to sell players ever since...4 players for £45 mill last season...
