many years ago aged 17 i went to a party...i ended up drinking a bottle of whisky....i puked for a week, and i've never touched a drop since....a few weeks ago i helped the guy across the road to move some furniture..as a thank you he gave me a bottle of jura single malt whisky....do i give it a go or leave it?

give it a go but don't do the whole bottle in a night!

Try it with a bit of orange squash in ..seriously..take the edge off it

Jura 10 year old is very nice.Cheaper one is Jura journey.Whichever it is make sure you measure 50ml in a nice glass with a drop of water or ice.Don’t have more than two for first time.Grab a Cuban cigar and lock yourself in a shed for a few hours.Ahhhhhhh heaven.
