i know it worked out.... but where did the thinking behind MMs appointment come from ?
14th and 16 finishes at Watford... and whose last 21 games were 4 wins 7 draws and 10 defeats.. 19 points which is relegation form... he cant have been far away from the axe at Watford.... which also seemed to be Slades position at Orient..

I realise that not many agree with me but I don’t think Malky worked out really.
We were promoted as champions with 87 points which would have got us third or fourth every season following until last season. Hull and Palace came up with us and both spent less the year we went up and the season after yet comfortably stayed up in the premier league.
Malky spent quite a bit of money due to the injection from Tan after the rebrand and had backing summer 2012 and 2013. What was left was a very one dimensional squad with no plan B. We had been found out and were heading in one direction.
We really had a solid chance to kick on and establish ourselves in the premier league and we failed and I think a lot of that is to do with Malky. In a way though maybe it was serendipity. Had we established ourselves in the premier league maybe we would still be playing in red with a foreign manager and loads of foreign players hating VAR. We certainly wouldn’t have had Warnock as manager.
All things happen for a reason I suppose.

we all have different ideas .... your correct about the points and money... and the football was bar a handful of games dire... but he did get us up.. as for the red.. long term i never thought it would last....yes there were those that were vocal and protested but there were also a far bigger group seemingly going along with it but not buying into it or throwing themselves behind it at all.. merchandise sales had fallen off a cliff and were showing no signs of recovering while at games anything coloured blue had become the new Burberry...
but going back to my question... how do you bring in someone who managed 19 points in 21 games to replace a man that just got 37 points in the same period ? ..didnt make an ounce of sense to me..

I don’t doubt it Annis.
Weird how diverse the characters that Tan picked were.

And we paid 300k compensation for him. It was weird.
He was an underwhelming appt.
