Training match vs Newport yesterday, how useful was that?

NEIL HARRIS:

It was brilliant. Really good, really pleased Newport could come over. A competitive game in a training ground environment.

Dillon Phillips played, Greg Cunningham, Sol Bamba, Benko would have played, Gavin Whyte played, Josh Murphy, Robert Glatzel played some minutes.

And then some young lads who had been doing well for the under-23s. Really pleased with the minutes.

It’s not about the result, it’s about the lads getting minutes and getting through it. It was put on to get some game-time into the players and it was a useful exercise for myself and Michael [Flynn].

I always thought this should happen, keeps the players fit, gives youngsters a taste of big boy football too,so win win imo.

He is unwell, not unfit or anything, probably the same sickness/shits that glatzel had.
My mrs had it a couple of weeks back, wiped her out for best part of 5 days, then was like a "lead balloon" (her description)for a week!! Players are not immune to these bugs, especially if you mix with a few outside the family people.
