FA/EFL Cup or Welsh Cup

Thu Dec 03, 2020 8:36 am

Would you rather the chance to win the FA CUP or EFL CUP?

or

The Welsh Cup? (Whatever its called)

Both would see the club progress to Europe. One is, with respect, easier to navigate but would see the revenue go down considerably.
I guess it comes down to Money or Cup in reality.

FA cup over EFL cup... its far more prestigious and there is more money for winning the FA cup
we are not in the Welsh Cup..

Yes I worded that slightly incorrectly.

What I meant was would people prefer to still compete in the FA/EFL Cup or if City were invited back into the Welsh Cup - at the expense of the English cups - would you want to switch competitions?

it can not happen unless we were to withdraw from the English pyramid...but no from me even if the choice was there...

I used to love , our exploits in the cup winners cup in Europe .
But its not the same now, Europa league will just mean more games , most of them will be against unknown opposition .
So no !

Those European nights were great but I have to agree with you on the Europa League. First year would be a novelty but after that I think we would get bored

agree Europe has changed a hell of a lot...as an example Barry would have had to negotiate 5 rounds this year to reach the group stages which itself involves 64 teams.....
where as last time we were in the cup winners cup we entered in the round of 32... played Standard Liege but some of the other clubs in that draw were Ajax , Arsenal , PSG ,Benfica and Real Madrid..
