MY VIEW:TONIGHT NEIL HARRIS KNEW THIS WAS ANOTHER MUST WIN G

Tue Dec 01, 2020 8:46 pm

MY VIEW / OPINION:

NEIL HARRIS KNEW THIS WAS ANOTHER MUST WIN GAME TO CONVINCE THE CITY FANS, THE LUTON GAME WAS NOT JUST A ONE OFF VICTORY AND TONIGHT CITY WON AGAIN & THIS WILL DEF TAKE THE PRESSURE OFF HARRIS :bluebird: :bluebird:

Two home victories in a row, Keither Moore's double, and has now scored 7 goals this season :thumbright: :bluebird:

A VERY WELL DESERVED VICTORY :bluebird: :bluebird:

Ex Cardiff City Striker Danny Ward led the Huddersfield attack and virtually did nothing all night :thumbright:

Huddersfield had only won 2 of their last 10 away games

First-half: Cardiff fully deserved their 1nil lead, Moores 6th goal this season :bluebird:

Second-half: City started quietly, after a couple of good saves by Smithies, Moore got his 2nd of the the night & 7th this season 2-0 :bluebird: :bluebird:

Neil Harris kept the same side that beat Luton last Saturday.

Our defence well organised tonight and solid :bluebird: :bluebird:

CARDIFF CITY 3 HUDDERSFIELD TOWN 0 :bluebird: :bluebird:
H-T 1-0

Cardiff City: Smithies; Bacuna, Morrison, Nelson, Bennett; Wilson, Vaulks, Ralls, Ojo; Harris Moore.

Subs: Phillips, Bamba, Bagan, Cunningham, Pack, Murphy, Hoilett, Whyte, Glatzel.

Cardiff pressed Huddersfield non stop for the first 20mins looking for an early goal.
Vaulks throw in in to the Hudders area was causing Huddersfield to panic a bit.

Match became end to end, then in the 35th min
Kieffer Moore's 6th goal of the season 1-0 :bluebird: :bluebird:
A lovely, whipped ball across the face of goal from Sheyi Ojo and Moore needed no second invitation, getting ahead of his marker and poking underneath Ben Hamer. :bluebird: :bluebird:

City deserved that lead :bluebird:

City played well and deserved their first-half lead :bluebird: :bluebird:

H-T 1-0 :bluebird:

Cardiff were very quite for the 15mins.

62nd min Junior Hoilett came on for Mark Harris.

Smithies, had to make a good save, does enough to turn it around the corner of the post.

Smithies was put under pressure again, stops a good cross coming in to the goal mouth.

Hudders made a bad mistake at the back, Hoilett took advantage, in to Moore, yes 2-0 :bluebird: :bluebird: :bluebird:

80th min Kieffer Moore off, Robert Glatzel on.

Joe Ralls off, Marlon Pack on.

Robert Glatzel , great finish 3-0 :bluebird: :bluebird: :bluebird:

A Well Deserved victory by Cardiff tonight :thumbright: :thumbright: :bluebird: :bluebird:

Good result and we deserved the three points tonight.

We defended very well, Huddersfield didn't look like scoring.

Three well taken goals as well.

Seven goals already for Kieffer Moore is a decent return and I still think he was a bargain for what we got him for.

Big test on Saturday.

Was going to do a report but the two posts above pretty much sum it up

City were good value for their win today and held their own when Huddersfield had a decent second half spell; but Cardiff 'bullied' their way back into the game in a style reminiscent of Neil Warnock's team just when it was needed

Congratulations Bluebirds and Neil Harris...

It seems the penny may have finally dropped and this City side are beginning to hold their own... :ayatollah:

Exactly this, I think most of us would take a draw against Watford... anything more would be brilliant :thumbright:. Another good performance tonight, just a shame that so many sloppy errors this season have cost us the odd point here and there.

2 great wins in four days, 2 clean sheets, 3 city strikers scoring in four days, and actually scored in the first half. Very well done to the team and Harris.

Another really good performance. The midfield and attacking players were really fluid today, switching positions with excellent movement.

When playing with two central midfielders, it has to be Vaulks and Ralls. Theyre aggressive and have the ability to spring a forward ball quickly. I find Pack slow. Hes great in a central three, can sit infront of the defence and dictate play, but I don't think he has the aggression nor speed to play in a central two.

The players seem to be playing for Harris, and obviously believe in him, which is also encouraging! :ayatollah:

In fairness,he has come up trumps in what you have described as must win games, something we all believed was the case,I'd snatch at a draw with Watford, but fingers crossed, I said 4-1 against Luton, and posted"the run starts here!" So far so good, although I went 2-1 for today's game.glad to be wrong of course. :old: :bluebird:

He had to change something and in fairness he has. We are playing with more aggression, getting the ball forward quicker (not in a long ball way) and taking more risks - so refreshing to see players try and go past others rather than sideways or backwards passing, meaning that we aren’t allowing opposition to always get into shape. Playing 2 up top also seems to be letting us press them much quicker which has forced numerous mistakes over the last couple of games.

It can be a cliche, but for us our best form of defence is literally attack - we do have enough quality up there to make the opposition concerned and the last couple of games have shown what can be done when our attacking players focus more on hurting the opposition v defending. 5 wins - 13 scored, 0 conceded.

Yes Well Done Neil Harris 6pts :bluebird: :bluebird:

Two more Kieffer goals, 1st from Ojo getting beyond full back to cross with left foot. How long hv we been calling for that kind of service for the big man? New look team much better balanced, energetic, vibrant, attacking

Re: MY VIEW:TONIGHT NEIL HARRIS KNEW THIS WAS ANOTHER MUST W

Huddersfield Town head coach Carlos Corberan said: "We started the second half better and played in their half, but then we conceded a key second goal in a situation we can avoid.

"We have to accept the result, as they were better than us in both boxes. We had a lot of the ball, but we didn't create enough chances - especially in the first half.

"After the second goal, they protected their goal and the game became difficult for us."
