I very rarely root for other teams, especially ones in our division but I’m a faux Middlesbrough fan this season for one single reason only. Warnock.

He may have only been here 3 years but in my time supporting city he’s in my list of Cardiff legends

Happy bday Neil Warnock the man who lifted our club from near league 1 disaster to playing in the premiership and playing in blue in the premiership and nearly kept us up if only we had VAR , I am not a fan of VAR but would have saved us from relegation plus we had a sad disaster with a January signing , so to me Mr Warnock the best manager we have had

Managed to catch Covid but typical NW rebounded with Boro's best run of form for ages

One of the few managers over the recent years Ive had any time for.
Lovely bloke, always had time for the fans (I now they all do) . A few years back when we played Man City in the FA cup , I took a couple of kids to see the players get off the bus etc. One girl waited patiently to see some of our players Sol and Morrison said hello to her, while Neil stopped for a chat, asked if she played, what team etc. Little things like mean a lot to kids, she still remembers it now as do I.
