Take a look at what we are missing

Sat Nov 28, 2020 12:10 pm

To be fair
Tomlin out injured
Tutu out injured
Cunningham out injured
Mendez gone ??
Imo these 4 would be first choice if fit and still with us
Thats 40% out of 10 outfield players
These 4 would have been a huge plus if they had been available all season
Just worth thinking about when making management decisions ?

all clubs have injuries though...

and to be fair we caught a real break at the end of last season when both Tomlin and NML were able to play the restart having been ruled out for the season...

swings and roundabouts....

Last seasons break has nothing to do with this season
I believe losing 40 % of probable first team starters is not insignificant

Not insignificant but how many games would Tomlin play certainly not every minute of this season.
.plus way team us set up other players would be as effective as the ones are now! We have players now to be an attacking force but Harris chooses safety 1st until losing ..... having players mentioned wouldn't chang mentality of Harris.

Tomlin doesn't need to play every minute of a game to change the outcome. He was our best player last season by far, excluding smithies.
Harris has been the master of his own downfall this season though i agree. Far too negative.

Every club gets injuries.

Tomlin was already only playing 1 in 4 games before the transfer deadline finished and now it will be 1 in 5.
Cunningham was also already injured .
Mendez had gone way before the transfer deadline .

Tutu a loss but so does every club suffer injuries.

We knew we needed replacements for Mendez-Laing and cover for Tomlin well in advance.

Harris and the Committee had decided they wanted a small squad already knowing we had 2 games a week.

Harris and the committee have got rid of 23 players ( incl 10 U23’s ) and only signed 2 permanent places in a year .

We stated on here many of us, our squad is to small and there will as always be injuries along the way.

So No I don’t feel sorry or excuses for Harris.

Tomlins magic is near the opposition penalty area but like Wilson would he get that far up field under present tactics ? Think OP is saying doesn't help with those players missing but got to say brought in as good if not better players and gone backwards? So dont think having Tomlin ect in team/available would make great difference at present.

Point taken but I think he’s playing wrong tactics and players don’t seem to understand what they’re supposed to be doing.

Harris tactics are horrible this season and do not suit the team. But of course having those players available would help us. Just having Tutu back would mean bacuna could go back in the middle. Tomlin is magic and can change a game from nothing. Those two have been a huge loss this season.

Have two players who can play at back to allow bacuna back in midfield....whilst no doubt the extra players allow for change foes anyone have confidence in Harris Harris changing tactics or putting players in correct positions?
