Ffs if this is the standard of 'manager' on our list then I'd rather stick with Harris and I've been calling for him to be sacked for weeks!!

Mark Hughes would do well with us

His contacts would also bring good players

At least we are consistent another sacked nobody of a manager if bowen was' nt welsh i would have never heard of him like cockney arris.

Nobody should be surprised at this.

This was always the calibre of manager that we would likely bring in due to the board not wanting to spend much money on the manager or give him a good transfer budget.

Hopefully this will be a reality check to people wanting Howe, Pearson etc.

My choice, that would fit in with the board's desire not to spend much money, would be Paul Cook.

Did a great job at Wigan with no money.

Apart from his brief spell as Reding manager and one game as a caretaker manager at QPR Mark Bowen has always been the coach to Mark Hughes as manager at several clubs and Wales. Would not want Bowen as our manager but as an assistant to Mark Hughes it might be an option. Hughes has always managed in the premier league and never got any of his teams relegated. Not entirely sure about him but there could be worse options. Might not want a huge amount of money as he must be a multi millionaire. Bowen has a decent reputation as a coach too. Bloody better option than Harris anyway.

Annis got this from the same place as I did earlier. Mark Bowen is making calls and putting his name out there. No sign of us being interested in him.

Definitely don’t want Jack Bowen who has done feck all as manager.

But I’d be happy with Gareth Ainsworth who absolutely loves our club and has a big ifinity with us.Plus he has done really well getting tin pot Wycombe to the championship.

See no benefit to this appointment at all and whilst I don’t have an issue with appointing a Jack, the board must realise that similar to Harris at the first sign of trouble, fans would be on his back.

If we are going to go for someone from Swansea, might as well get Coleman - at least he’d have some credit in the bank with us!!

In terms of what I consider realistic options I would have the first choices as
1. Nigel Pearson, firm strong manager who has been promoted before
2. Craig Bellamy, wasn’t sure whether he would be 2nd or 3rd but I just feel it’s so flat at the moment we are almost at the point like we were with Trollope where it can’t get any worse so might be worth the risk. Passionate and probably wants to play on the front foot
3. Paul cook, decent experience and seemed to do a good job at Wigan with very little money.
4. Mark Hughes, welsh, has done well before although I’m not entirely convinced but would be better than Harris
5. Someone from abroad I’ve never heard of who would be some kind of undiscovered genius and we win every game on our way to the title

I wouldn’t be adverse to this as I think players would walk through a brick wall for him and he is clearly a leader. He would need to have a very experienced number 2.

Better option might be to insist he gets a key coaching role in the first team.

Bamba in charge temporarily would be great while we approach managers. Wish it was done for tomorrow

im not sure if its the board reading this forum, or whomever is giving you info is reading it, but a few weeks back, the forum was all saying "nigel pearson for the job....then you said "im hearing nigel pearson is high on the list", i seen a post on here yesterday with one or two mentioning bamba, then today "i'm hearing bamba is on their mind".

I think give Bamba the rest of the season and see how it goes unless Pearson or Bellamy are realistic options.

We need a change and impetus so, whoever it is, it has to happen.

Bamba is in the first team Squad now...if he can t gee up his team mates now ...why will he be any different if he gets the job...we need expereience

Re: ‘ I’m hearing their could be talks with ex manager ‘

It needs a fresh face, i thnk NH has drained the life out of the club, supporters and most definately the players.

Re: ‘ I’m hearing their could be talks with ex manager ‘

Fri Nov 27, 2020 9:19 am

I think Sol should definitely be given a coaching role of some sort within the club

It is obvious he is well liked and has probably built up quite a few contacts within the game. Before every match you always see him talking and joking with opposition players and management. It’s obvious he is well liked and respected within the game

Bamba needs to learn his trade part of a coaching set up yes-Manager-No.

About time we employed a strong candidate ie Howe or similar who plays attractive football.

Seasons not over yet and could still finish in top 6

we just dont know mate.... maybe Sol and the players are fully on board with Harris ?.. but it does look ,especially on Wednesday as if they are exasperated by him.... ive watched the goal half a dozen times now and we got 4/5 players moving around to create short passes 20 yards from goal... we are not a champions league team we are bottom end championship .what the fck goes through mojos mind ?

it is frustrating watching errors in virtually every game...since we got rid of of ward and Paterson we are using two big lumps up front...why not give young Harris a chance and FFS get Benkovic in

i dont understand why we signed Benkovic...we needed right back cover..

We have lost some big characters from the dressing room. Peltier, Patterson, Ward and NML.

Many players know its only a matter of time before they are moved on due to the size of their contracts.

Not a recipe for success.

A new man is needed today, not next week or next month.

God I seriously hope it's not him either, done feck all as a Manager, worse CV than Harris!!!

If we get Bowen or Bamba, we will be needing a New Manager by this time next year.

Don't ever waste a Managerial appointment, wait for one of the decent Managers to get sacked, there will always be a few after Christmas, possibly Chris Wilder or someone better!

If he's not the first choice don't give him a job, there are no decent Managers available, wait until there are!

We missed out on Hughton and Warnock is proving again how good he is, we need to wait and get a grade A Manager not take one of the grade F managers mentioned.
