Eddie Howe will not become another manager because all his backroom staff is still at Bournemouth so unless Howe finds new staff to follow him he will simply find it hard to join any team.

There all Yes Men if they want to work.
Would anyone employ someone who went against you if you were the owner.I don’t think so.
We need a manager who can sign players that can pass, be able to follow team plan .
Most of our squad are not able to retain ball long enough to get out of trouble Then we are back defending again and again in matches

Also (and I know for a fact) Eddie Howe likes to run a club from top to bottom, he likes to be in charge or at least in touch with everything, from food and menus to sponsorships etc, and I don’t think Dalman and Tan want someone like that.

It’s a shame as he would (over time) create a great way of playing football, the way he transformed Bournemouth was remarkable really.

Tan needs to back a manager that understands football, and let Dalman & Choo do what they are good at, the business side not the football side, it strikes me that we are almost operating a director of football approach however our director doesn’t know about football.

I for one would love them to pull all the stops out and go get him.

Graham Kavanagh ? Or Robert Earnshaw? As our Manager?? Would not mind to see a legendary bluebird take charge.

i know...but its no less realistic than Eddie Howe... people seem to be of the opinion he is a motivator and can work on a shoestring ..

Eddie Newton? Hes been managing in Turkey and won the Turkish Cup.

Re: Eddie Howe Barmy army

How fit is he? Can he still play?

Re: Eddie Howe Barmy army

We need some one who can get a team playing well and challenging at the top of the league on a shoestring budget, that’s a mentality and skill and shouldn’t be ignored on what league they manage in, seen a lot of people laugh at the suggestion but i think Mike Flynn from Newport county would be a good shout, we don’t seem to go for big names so this fits the bill really

Re: Eddie Howe Barmy army

Plays 3 at the back and 3 upfront as well if I remember rightly which I think would suit us to the ground,

Nelson benkovic Cunningham

Jordi. Bacuna ralls Bagan/bennet

Murphy Moore ojo

New manager would have to train on it and make it work in training and make a big call in dropping the captain but I think this is the only way to save our season,

So if memhet is listing I’m free for the next year if you need me

Re: Eddie Howe Barmy army

Murphy and no Wilson frightening

Do you know what mage I totally forgot about Wilson then,

Change either Murphy or Onjo for Wilson and play a fluid formation where if the balls being played down the opposite side Wilson can cut in central to play the number 10 role and the wing back can push up for the width, preferably the same side as bacuna plays in central midfield as I think he has the legs to track back if the opposite counter

Re: Eddie Howe Barmy army

With three upfront we can switch it up we could either play it into Moore’s feet and he can lay it off for one of the midfielders to set the inside forwards away or if we play it long he has the Ariel ability to flick it on

This formation would only work if the new manager were to drop Morrison

Our wingers aren’t really known for putting crosses in but I can see them playing better just off the striker

Dai up the road from me coaching under 8s would motivate the players more than Harris. Lose today vs Luton he be gone.

It's certainly a rare (but welcome) appearance!

We've been told that Eddie Howe's name has been included in the conversations at the top; but anything beyond 'speculative' at this time would be misleading, as Eddie Howe knows his value right now and City don't appear to want to pay 'big manager' wages

i doubt its been given more than a seconds thought...or they are even less clued up than i thought..

he would require a package of promises re investment and what he spent both getting Bournemouth up and on pounds per point while in the prem makes anything we have ever spent look poundland.....

You doubt it's been given a second's thought...?

Understand that, as you weren't in the conversation I was in. However, the name Eddie Howe has 100% been brought up in the Boardroom (as he is in many others, I'm sure) but with a certain acceptance that he would be 'difficult' to get

But hey, if you don't ask... :ayatollah:
