What's your choice???

Regarding this "5 day virus holiday", what would you genuinely choose,christmas with family and friends,or another months lockdown,as has been suggested will happen?
If it were a choice,which would you choose? For me,the year has been a shit one,and I like Christmas per say,and my birthday is at the same time,I would sacrifice the 5 days on offer,for some more freedoms.

Talking to people in work etc I get the feeling most families are going to meet up Christmas Day at least regardless of what government say mate

I would agree with that, people would disobey the rules for Christmas day and boxing day no matter what was said.

I think we've come down to making our own decisions, some people will be sensible, some won't, I think we will have tiered restrictions in some form or another right through to April/May when the number of people immunised increases and the weather gets better.

If we don't go too mad the restrictions will be less and we could still keep pubs and restaurants open, if everyone goes mad, it will be tier three type restrictions for longer!

I didn't answer, but if it was a choice that people would follow, I would choose not mass mixing at Christmas, choosing a better Jan - April with fewer restrictions

trouble is..thats not really the choice...
if they feel that a lockdown or firebreak are needed they will do it whether there were restrictions over xmas or not....
