Decision made by the party's NEC (National Executive Committee) and not the party leader, it is important to point out.
Keir Starmer has made it clear that he will not make the decision on disciplinary cases, as that was one of the criticisms of the previous leadership in the initial report.
Starmer's comments tonight suggest that he isn't happy about the decision of the NEC.
No news on whether the whip will be restored to Corbyn, which is a decision for the leader. I'm not sure the whip will be restored and personally, as Labour Party member and campaigner, I don't think it should happen.
I expected this decision by the NEC because, unfortunately, a lot of the NEC is made up of pro-Corbyn supporters on the far left of the party. I think and hope that will change over the next couple of years but these things take time.

I am no longer a labour voter as this typifies them.
Being brought up in a working class background and being very pro trade union the desertion of the “Daily Mirror” left in favour almost exclusively “The Guardian” woke identity stuff leaves me cold.
Jeremy Corbyn is not am anti Semite !! Are there follower on the further left who are too dull to distinguish Israel and the Jewish people, of course there are. Does he denounce them, yes, but not enough for the “Salem witch trial” mob who want total compliance to their way of thinking.
Are there anti Semites, racists, misogynists in labour ? Of course there are , but they are present in the Tories, libs, greens and Plaid as there are in society in general. And if you are not, then you may be sub consciously because we must fit into one of those groups for the woke group think warriors.
Trumped up charges like these are the epitome of jumped up kangaroo courts, but the left love all these purity trials though. Corbyn is in his oils, he loves the fight to save him and his party stuff, but it so tiresome to the rest of us.
I am pretty libertarian (with a left slant, it does exist) and hugely believe in freedom of choice, but I genuinely feel there should be a limit to political careers to two or three terms in parliament to stop there being a political class far too removed from the reality of our lives.

it wasnt about him denouncing them...was about doing something about them ..which he did not...

The Tory Party, LibDems, Greens or PC are irrelevant. None of those parties have been investigated by the Equality and Human Rights Commission, Labour have and were found to have committed unlawful acts of discrimination with regard to Anti-Semitism.
This all happened on Corbyn's watch. He has tried to defend himself by stating that the problem was 'exaggerated'
This despite the fact that there are still hundreds of complaints to be fully investigated and we don't know the outcome. Corbyn is pre-judging the situation (i.e. meddling) which is one of the problems highlighted by EHRC

I can also vividly remember Jewish Labour MP Luciana Berger needing Police protection in order to attend the Labour Party Conference in 2018.
The man is a complete idiot and hypocrite. He is a classic case of 'whatever I say about racism it doesn't apply to me as I can be as racist as much as I like providing it is the right kind of racism i.e. anti-Semitism.
The man is sickening

Yes, but most observers are clear that Corbyn brought this on himself by undermining the leader with his unnecessary statement on the day the damning report was released
Corbyn is a broken flush and I fail to see what Sir Keir Starmer was supposed to have done differently?

Starmer backed Corbyn for Prime Minister whilst all this surfaced.. a questionable stance without the claims. Not to be trusted.
