‘ For me this will be a real test ‘

Mon Nov 16, 2020 6:25 pm

In 28 days including this Saturday CARDIFF CITY have 9 Championship games

Neil Harris said he was happy to have a trimmed squad and happy with the quality of it and Chairman Dalman, says he expects us to be Top 6 by January.

Well for me these next 28 days will tell us exactly how far we will go this season and if our squad is capable of playing this amount of games.

We knew the fixture list ahead as we have had no matches cancelled and no cup run.

These 28 days are going to be a massive test for Harris and our squad .

ITS THE SAME FOR ALL CHAMPIONSHIP CLUBS / SO WE ARE ALL GOING IN THESE GAMES THE SAME :thumbright: :bluebird:

I think the next 4/5 games are crucial for Harris and the season.

He really needs to get some momentum and stick to a way of playing.

It's no coincidence that our drop off in form has coincided with Bacuna having to move to full back. It's not particularly the issue with Bacuna's abilities as a full back, more that we don't have a similar player to replace him in midfield. His running power gave us something different in centre of midfield and we don't have another player like that.

Pack and Ralls are simply too similar, no matter how well either, or both, of them play.

We have a £10m+ player on our hands in Wilson. Concentrate on building a team around him to get him on the ball in dangerous areas. His goal record at Championship level and even at Prem for Bournemouth is a bit of a clue !!

By the way, someone made a comment above saying that Smithies is a problem :o Is that guy watching any games this season ? I can hardly remember Smithies making a mistake and some of his saves have been outstanding. I would think he's up there with the bext keepers in the Championhip right now.

Have to agree with this. When you consider Darren Randolph is a Premier GK at West Ham you have to think that Smithies would be equally capable in the Premier League.

Have Dalman and Choo got a replacement lined up? Because I have a feeling that their going to need one!

Most probably Annis. When it comes to our club, the more things change, the more they stay the same...
