This Wales style under Giggs

Thu Nov 12, 2020 8:30 pm

So dangerous

All this passing around at the back is not only boring but suicidal, they have had 2 very good chances because we lost the ball trying to be clever. A good team would punish these mistakes if this is the way we are going forward .

Why does every manager insist on doing this, get the ball forward quickly with clear quality passing not tip tapping and going nowhere

Interseting that we were always taught no to mess Bout with it at the back , now its the totally opposite.

Well its surprising we are not losing as our history is full of major mistakes in defence! So perhaps this way is way forward? But we look lucky so far not to be losing...
On side note does the pitch look awful or is it the tv?

Didn't watch it tonight.

I expected Rob Page to play mainly fringe players, and was a little surprised Kieffer Moore and Harry Wilson both started.

Thought he would save them for the crucial Nations League games, rather than risk them in a meaningless friendly against a young USA team.

Another clean sheet, though, can only boost confidence.

Giggs is statistically Wales’s most successful Manager despite capping so many young players so if it’s working stick with this system!

The record is good it is cannot work out how we have got away with clean sheets with some of the passing at the back and the risks we take . The team is doing well though results wise

It's not that we haven't played some relatively good teams either! Will say some of the problems with performances is we've had to blood several new and young players who are lacking playing times with clubs.... and we have been without several senior and best players ? So I think we've done extremely well to avoid heavy defeat along the way in last 8 games , but musnt forget bit luck on way as well! So things are looking very good when get more game time together.

Can be frustrating to watch af times but you dont go 10 matches unbeaten and concede so little in international football on luck thats for sure.

I think it would be different if he had something like a full 1st eleven to pick from but it seems every game hes missing important players? And that what makes the results all the more remarkable! And he gets results when it matters like euro qualifiers...

Agreed.

When Coleman was in charge he did really well but was lucky in that he rarely seemed to lose any of the key players to injury.

Last night we were without Allen, Ramsey, Wilson, etc., yet still ground out a result in the end.

The stats are pretty impressive right now and we've qualified for the Euros so anything else is a bonus in my eyes.

And what people are nor grasping all these wins and draws are boosting our world cup qualification chances,
it's hard to understand the process but promotion will be great for us in that respect.
