Reading about the company involved would suspect their motives for announcing it now? Being the cynic I am they've made €80m quarterly loss but all of sudden their wealth gone up €350 along with other investor not to mention companies

Yes I will, and the reason is so that the world can get back to normality, I'm happy to wait for the needier like my 89-year-old mother to get it first, as they face far greater risk and have been affected significantly more than me

Van-Tam is ready to have it now, and I have two mates who are doctors, they will both get it as quickly as possible and that's good enough for me.

The good news is the government seem intent on a rapid delivery so fingers crossed 2021 is going to be a much better year :occasion5:

Mr Johnson would be happy to receive a coronavirus vaccine, Number 10 has said.

On a visit to a Tesco distribution centre in south-east London on Wednesday, Mr Johnson said the prospect of a vaccine and the ramping up of testing were "two big boxing gloves" to "pummel" the virus with, but said: "Neither of them is capable of delivering a knock-out blow on its own.

"That's why this country needs to continue to work hard to keep discipline and to observe the measures we've put in."

I think there are quite stringent rules on this type of thing with regards to vaccines etc. They will get in a lot of trouble if the data doesn’t support it.

On an aside. I was told very heartwarming news about the Oxford Uni one a few weeks back which is being backed up with subtle hints. Again, they can’t say anything until it’s been supported with data though,

It's looking really good that one, similar to the Pfizer, but without the transport and storage issues, and made in the UK and we've ordered shit loads

What we will find out, is that different vaccines may suit different age groups, it's been a really shit year, but next year is going to be a lot better
