Sheffield Wednesday sack manager Gary Monk

I'm actually a little shocked by this, as Wednesday were on a hiding to nothing before the season started yet have almost caught up the lower end pack
As a Bluebird supporter, I'm no fan of Garry Monk but it does raise questions as to the behind scenes reasons for his dismissal?
Having said that, he's never really been successful since leaving his original club and maybe he's just been found out?

Eddie Howe will get that one.

They are very rich owners! Just had points redu from 12 to 6 a better proposition now? Plus howe took bournmouth from div 1 to premier league ! Another challenge backed by wealthy owners is possible unlikely but possible, but suspect nigel Pearson good bet.

Always starts off well wherever he goes, but always ends up being found out.
I think he's similar to Harris. Half decent Championship manager.
Feel for him. Thought he was doing OK and signed some decent players for Wednesday.

Paul Cook early favourite

NEVILLE IN RACE TO REPLACE MONK
England women’s manager Phil Neville is on a list of potential candidates to replace Garry Monk at Sheffield Wednesday.
In April, Neville announced he would not be renewing his contract with the FA when it expires in July next year and is known to be considering a move into club football.
If he were to become Wednesday’s next managerial recruit, Neville would be expected to forego his role as manager of Great Britain’s women at the Tokyo Olympics next year.
Monk’s sacking was exclusively revealed by Sky Sports News last night with Wednesday languishing in 23rd spot in the Championship.
Former Wigan boss Paul Cook is one of the bookies early favourites alongside Tony Pulis. Ex-Leicester and Watford manager Nigel Pearson, a former Wednesday defender, has also been linked with a return to Hillsborough. However, Pearson has previously suggested he would not want to manage in the city where his family home is.

Be glad if they have pulis stops us thinking about having him. If we are going to change managers i hope we look abroad
To me it seems the top clubs all have foreign managers along with that style whether that suits our present team or not but
what we are delivering at the present does' nt seem to be placing us at the top of the championship.

I understand not all foreign mangers are a success
it probably the philosophy and style of play more than anything.
