i bet that surprised Bristol.Glatzel looked a cert to start.going for a bit of pace from the start.Ojo seems to play better from the start as oppose to coming on later on and having to catch up to the pace of the game.

Happy with that, Wilson in a free role behind Keiffer :ayatollah:

No surprise to me although I like Glatzel.
Wilson is much better in that central attacking midfield position than wasted out wide.

So we struggle for weeks playing shit football in this formation then he changes it to 442 and it works well. So he reverts back to the game plan that we were struggling to play the next game

Hes absolutely clueless

Team news verdict

Well, it was always going to be a stretch to go 4-4-2 again, I think.

Playing so openly against Barnsley, and a very poor Barnsley at that, is one thing, but a Severnside derby? Perhaps the right call to revert back to the 4-2-3-1.

Still very exciting, though, and the team is not weakened in the slightest by Sheyi Ojo coming in for Robert Glatzel.

An exciting, attacking lineup which sees Harry Wilson fill that No.10 role again, the position, you feel, in which he can do the most damage.

Cardiff City XI (4-2-3-1): Smithies; Bacuna, Morrison, Nelson, Bennett; Pack, Ralls; Ojo, Wilson, Hoilett; Moore.

Subs: Phillips, Bamba, Bagan, Vaulks, Whyte, Murphy, Glatzel.

Bristol City XI (4-3-3): Bentley; Vyner, Kalas, Hunt, Da Silva; O'Dowda, Nagy, Paterson; Martin, Semenyo, Wells.

Subs: O'Leary, Moore, Edwards, Towler, Rowe, Brunt, Massengo.

Of course this is correct.
Two very different games. Two out and out strikers is not the way to go permanently in the modern game where midfield is so important.

It's up to the players now and hopefully some lessons learned by them in recent games (if that's not too positive for you ahead of an important game) and they will pull out another performance ;)

Meanwhile, the game is close to starting and match comments can be placed here...
