My View / Opinion

2 WINS IN CARDIFF'S LAST 9 GAMES / TONIGHT CARDIFF HAD TO WIN THIS GAME, OTHERWISE WE WOULD BE INVOLVED WITH THE CLUBS IN THE BOTTOM 3 & CARDIFF PUT THAT RIGHT WITH A GREAT DISPLAY WHICH SECURED 3PTS :bluebird: :bluebird:

From the first minute to the last minute Cardiff controlled the game :bluebird: :bluebird:

Barnsley were looking for their first away win in their last 5 away games.

Cardiff had not begun a league season without a victory in their opening five home games since 1994-95 in the third tier.

NEIL HARRIS ANSWERED HIS CRITICS WITH A WELL DESERVED VICTORY TONIGHT :thumbright: :bluebird:

Bring on Bristol City this Friday Night, another 3pts please :thumbright:

First-half: Cardiff City dominated the game and had a numerous chances, Barnsley had one clear chance just before half-time, with Smithies saving it.

Second-half: Cardiff City Just passed around and controlled the game, the three points were theirs.

CARDIFF CITY 3 BARNSLEY 0 :bluebird: :bluebird: :bluebird:
H-T 2-0

Cardiff City (4-4-2): Smithies; Bacuna, Morrison, Nelson, Bennett; Wilson, Pack, Ralls, Hoilett; Moore, Glatzel.

Subs: Phillips, Bamba, Bagan, Vaulks, Ojo, Whyte, Murphy.

What a start by Cardiff :bluebird:

GOAL! Cardiff City 1-0 Barnsley (Hoilett 4) :bluebird: :bluebird:

Bennett whipped a cross in after Cardiff took a quick throw-in and Hoilett won it, spun his man and hit a left-footed effort into the bottom corner.

Hoilett sprinted over to Sol Bamba to celebrate :bluebird: :bluebird:

The game was being played at a ferocious pace and it' was causing Barnsley to make a number of errors so far. Some woeful passing from Cardiff :bluebird: :bluebird:

Cardiff City dominated the game and had a numerous chances, Barnsley had one clear chance just before half-time, with Smithies saving it.

Then Harry Wilson was brought drown and a penalty which Joe Ralls put away in the 44th min 2-0 :thumbright: :thumbright: :bluebird: :bluebird:

H-T 2-0 :bluebird: :bluebird:

Cardiff for me controlled the first 25mins and looked calm and composed.

Ojo came on for Glatzel.

GOAL! Cardiff City 3-0 Barnsley (Wilson 77) :bluebird:

Goal! What a strike from Wilson! :bluebird:

Joe Ralls layed the ball off to the Welshman, who drived towards the box and smacked it with his left foot from more than 20 yards out to send it whistling into the corner! :bluebird: :bluebird:

Joe Rlls was replaced by Will Vaulks.

A WELL DESERVED VICTORY VICTORY TONIGHT :bluebird: :bluebird:

Brilliant performance tonight.

We needed to win this game and we always looked like winning it after the early goal.

Barnsley barely threatened our goal and we controlled the game.

Very important win.

Good comfortable win which was very much needed, same again Friday and not so much doom and gloom going on to the international break.
I thought Glatzel did well but Bennett my man of the match.
Well done CCFC.

Play attacking players and you play some nice attacking football. Who knew.

Much better from us. Probably could have been 4-5 nil. Keeping wilson fit will be key for us this season, what a difference he made today. Hopefully we can kick on from here now.

We have:

Bristol City
Millwall (after the international break)
Coventry
Luton

within the rest of November. Based on tonight's performance I would hope for at least 10 points out of a possible 12 from the next four fixtures. Definitely a massive improvement tonight but we need to keep this momentum going :bluescarf:

Nothing wrong with tonights performance, energy, intensity and looked to play the ball forward everytime.
No tippy tappy for the sake of it.

3 or 4 MOM performances , Ralls, Bennett , Hoilet and Moore.

Ralls for me, he was everywhere, if NH questions his performance tonight i reckon Joe would kick him :-)

As others have said, an excellent performance from the whole team.

I was really impressed with Glatzel again, he looks like a different player this season.

Both unbelievable players but how much does Harry Wilsons movement and mannerisms remind you of Whitts. Even the way he celebrates scoring a screamer is just like him. The, its just another goal sort of look. So cool, what a talent.

Such a shame that we can’t be there to support at the moment as no doubt he would be a huge fan favourite!

Excellent performance. Would like to see Wilson in the 10 role and being on the ball more.

Think it’s fair to say that, even at this stage of his loan, he’s proved he’s a premier league player... we’re so lucky to have him here.

The way he took that goal last night was superb.
