What have the managers said

Cardiff City manager Neil Harris: :bluebird:

"[Barnley are] a young side. Athleticism and legs. They press very high and very hard. They have got some ability to play and have had two wins in two games under their new manager.

"I went up to Barnsley to watch them against QPR, game changed on a red card. It’ll be a tough challenge, they did extremely well to stay in the division last year.

"I enjoy watching them play. They play with real energy.

"But for me, I’m not really worried about what Barnsley do. It’s about how my players respond from Saturday and my stinging words after the game and how I left them in the changing room. There’s no grey areas for me regarding that.

"I want to see the second-half performance against QPR, not the first."

Barnsley manager Valérien Ismaël:

"It will be the next tough game against a very strong opponent. They have very big control in the air.

"We are ready, we have trained well and we made very good analysis of the opponent. We know where they are strong but also where they are weak.

"Cardiff play football in another way, but it is a strong way. It is a good test. I am very much looking forward to it. I need every game to see where we are.

"[Kieffer Moore] is a target player. Their way to play is around him, with a lot of crosses and second balls. We have to concentrate and we know how to defend against him. We showed the players some clips. We have to be very good in the box but we are ready."
