Stranger things have happened but he is drinking at last chance saloon.... he needs to do something different otherwise hes out as keeping same
tactics/team and he's doomed . :old:

His job is probably riding on the next 2-3 games so he definitely needs to make positive changes. But how far is he willing/brave enough to go?

Personally, I would rather us try gain a lead and then make changes to defend it rather than what we seem to do and make changes to chase a game. I think our strongest and most attacking side (when everyone is fit) would be:

Smithies
Tutu, morrsion, Benkovic, Bagan
Bacuna, Ralls
Wilson, Tomlin, Ojo
Moore

But given injuries and Harris's previous selections I'm not sure how many changes he'll actually make. Assuming Wilson is injured:

Smithies
Nelson, morrison, benkovic, bennet
Bacuna, Ralls
Ojo Tomlin hoilet
Moore/glatzel

That might work but my worry about strong-minded managers (nee intransigent) is that they cannot be seen to change things too much, as they may see it as admitting they've got it wrong to date

We live in hope though and my own starting XI would be...

Smithies
Bagan Morrison Benkovic Nelson
Ojo Tomlin Pack Wilson
Glatzel
Moore

Don’t think there will be many changes although can’t see Vaulks starting again anytime soon

What I think we will see is hopefully a different attitude. Trying to win the game from the off rather than trying not to lose it

Lb Bagan Morrison Nelson Rb bennett!

Whilst watching QPR game we were discussing RB options during our last game and the idea of Bennett playing RB was raised and not discounted because he’s a full back and is a better option than someone who’s not. The problem is his right foot is used only for standing on but how many time’s have we seen naturally one footed players swapping during games.

Unless Harris can think of another option (Nelson?) or a different formation then Bacuna is likely to play there. That is a waste as he’s so much more effective as a central midfielder. And that area needs someone more energetic and biting than we have had in recent games.

It also allows Bagan to resume his promising presence at left back. I’d prefer him to either Bennett or Cunningham TBH

Chris I was saying to a mate of mine ( I have got one :laughing6: ) that I would have put Nelson as right back, and Benkovic in the middle, cannot see Harris dropping Bennett, but you never know. He has to make changes, but I guess he will not make so many

As you said to me mate, if we plays Vaulks, Pack and Ralls in the same midfield with one striker he might aswell pack his bags now.

I'm not going to buy the stream unless we show a bit of positivity and change in the selection. I think we will though, it has to be done.

Let's try playing the second half first!

It's a tricky one, most managers golden rule is to try not to feck about with the back four/five and keeper, but with three injuries to the fullbacks it's unsettled the defence, also injuries to the creative two, has given Harries difficult selection problems!

If they were all back fit we would quickly gain some form and shoot up the table, but with many still out it's going to be difficult to turn around.

Ever the optimist and backs against the wall, I think we will see a better performance tonight, and hopefully, three points to make it a bit happier on here in the morning  :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Maybe another way of looking it that don’t blame the defence so feel free to tinker with it and criticise the attacking players for not scoring enough.
Just a thought :old:

Yep true, continuity and a settled team would help us a lot, but because off all the injuries and games in quick succession we can't get a settled team.
I seem to remember under Warnock we would have the odd blip when we had three games a week? Or did I make that up?
