Neil Harris on his discussions with Cardiff's board

I spoke to the board. We all want to win football matches. No one is more disappointed when we don’t win than me.

I take pride in my job and I’ve got a very privileged position at Cardiff City and I’ve come here to be successful and I want to win. I don’t need anyone reminding me of my duties at this club.

The board have been fantastic to me, they have been supportive and continue to be supportive. The owner knows I’m a winner and a fighter and I want to do that.

I have shown in my time here that even with a bad spell we come out the other side and quickly start to win games again and that is the aim now, starting tomorrow.

Harris says he needs to start winning and it starts tomorrow
Perhaps he should have told himself that at the start of the season

24 managers in the Championship and each one will have belief in their own ability to get their teams winning. Only three can be truly successful and three will be complete failures. The others (those either not promoted or relegated) will be a mix of 'satisfactory' and 'must do better' depending on their individual budgets, squads, injuries

I will agree the Bluebirds are currently in the 'disappointing' group; but that can change and last season's run-in is ample evidence of how a Neil Harris team can respond even after a relatively) poor start
