‘ Neil Harris 12 Games ‘

Mon Nov 02, 2020 11:47 am

I have said from day one every manager deserves 12 games in my opinion of a season before we can really decide/ judge him.

For me Harris has to win two from his next three games and two are at home.

12 games for me is a quarter of a season.

If he fails to win at least two of them, then we will be dragged in to a relegation battle and for me the pressure will be immense, I would sack him but? I don’t trust the board to bring anyone better in and I still say Harris was not fully backed as he did ask for two more players.
So I don’t see the point in sacking Harris.
Personally I don’t agree Harris has been properly backed.

He did a Slade for them and cleared out beyond 23 players (including 10 under 23’s) in the last 12 months and only signed two permanent new players .
Cleared £millions off the wage bill.

I'm a big supporter of Harris but anything less than four points from these next two games, and I think they'll be enormous pressure on the club to get rid of him.

It's obvious that Dalman doesn't want him to stay. You could tell that when he put all that pressure on Harris during his interview on Deadline Day.

Maybe that has something to do with what Harris said when Callum Paterson left.

Like you say, Harris hasn't been supported as much as he wanted.

I hope he turns it around for us, but the pressure is already building and that makes the job tougher - especially after he threw the players under the bus after the QPR game. That's a risky game to play.

Much has been said/written in recent days regarding the position of Bluebirds manager, Neil Harris but, as usual, there has been little, if any, direct word from the Board to either publicly support or put pressure on him

In response to another thread today that didn't cover the topic as suggested, my understanding is that the Board (nee Tan) are currently supportive of what is trying to be achieved but that their patience won't last forever; far from it, as they 'expect' a serious challenge on promotion this season

The continuous 'one half good/one half bad' performances from the team on the field of play, as well as the high number of individual errors leading to goals against is surely noted and speedy improvements must be demanded

It may be a platitude after he recently stuck his head above the parapet only to get his cap blown off, but the manager himself has stated that he has been "well supported" in the transfer market, so must by default be 'happy' with his squad

As they would say in the Post Office, delivery times are getting tighter as Xmas approaches...! :ayatollah:

3 games to go to save his bacon. On paper this is a top 6 side minimum, better than the side that finished 5th only a few weeks ago.
