MY VIEW:CARDIFF TODAY PLAYED ANOTHER STRUGGLING TEAM QPR WH

MY VIEW / OPINION:

CARDIFF TODAY PLAYED ANOTHER STRUGGLING TEAM QPR WHO HAD NOT WON A GAME IN THEIR LAST 6 GAMES & NEARLY WON AGAIN THANKS TO TWO JOE RALL PENALTIES / WITH CARDIFF COMING FROM 2NIL DOWN / BUT IN THE 93RD MIN QPR MADE IT 3-2

JOE RALLS TWO PENALTIES WERE NOT GOOD ENOUGH FOR CARDIFF CITY

Cardiff struggle again and have now only gained 3pts from the last 12pts available, relegation form.

In my opinion not good enough Neil Harris

First-Half: Shocking by Cardiff and the defending was awful, 2nil down, could of bean 4nil

QPR commentators say Cardiff are slack and disorganised, for me Cardiff were worse than woeful.

2nd-half: Cardiff improved vastly and it was end to end, but just not good enough.

QPR 3 CARDIFF CITY 2
H-T 2-0

City: Alex Smithies, Leandro Bacuna, Sean Morrison, Curtis Nelson, Joe Bennett,Marlon Pack
Joe Ralls,Will Vaulks, Sheyi Ojo, Josh Murphy,Kieffer Moore

Subs: Dillon Phillips,Sol Bamba,Joel Bagan,Gavin Whyte,Lee Tomlin
Junior Hoilett, Mark Harris

QPR carved City open and the ball was laid off for former Bluebird Albert Adomah, who was free in the box and looked certain to score, but Smithies managed to tip it over from point-blank range! :thumbright: :bluebird:

16th min Albert Adomah is found with a lovely reverse pass and sells Bennett the dummy with a fake cross with his right

He shifted it on to his left and dinks a ball to the back stick, where Ilias Chair is waiting and he volleyed into the ground and it bounced over Smithies into the net. 1-0

Todd Kane made it two! A breakaway goal, but tore the City defence to pieces 2-0

37 mins gone and sad to save QPR well deserved lead

Should be three!

Osayi-Samuel does Bacuna on the left flank and cuts it back to Chair, who turned and fired on the penalty spot, but it whistled past the post!

Dreadful by City

H-T 2-0

Hoilett on for Vaulks.

Moore brought down.
GOAL PENALTY ! QPR 2-1 Cardiff City (Ralls 49) :bluebird: :bluebird:
2-1

City vastly improved from first-half :bluebird:

Match became end to end and teams game :bluebird:

68th min Lee Tomlin came on for Josh Murphy :bluebird: :bluebird:

With in mins Lee Tomlin booked for an awful challenge.

82nd min Lovely play from Cardiff. Hoilett gave it to Tomlin just outside the box and he whipped a curling effort at the top corner, but it went narrowly wide.

Penalty! Masterson handball!
86th min It's in! Ralls has his penalty saved and rifles the follow-up home! 2-2 :bluebird: :bluebird:

93rd min QPR score to make it 3-2
What an incredible goal! Ball rifles his long-range effort into the top corner from range.

Mark Harris on for Bacuna.

MY MAN OF THE MATCH: JOE RALLS :bluebird:

You have to give credit for the fight back second half and their winner was not deserved. Great goal but very undeserved. However, our performance first half was shocking. We are not improving. We are behind in virtually every match this season. Why? It's not good enough and Harris is not the man to develop a promotion side this year. Start looking for a new manager before the next international break I think.

Think Harris is playing for his job now. Anything less than 2 wins from our next 3 games could see him gone as we will probably be in/close to bottom 3

I felt us getting back to 2-2 just covered the cracks.

From what I have seen before today we are relegation material. We are not playing a full 90 minutes. Our defence has been shocking. our transfers in have been late aka Trollope syndrome.

I usually judge us after 10 games. If we get something next game we will be in a mid table position. The way we are going we are going to be in a relegation fight.

Trollope Mk2. Deja vu, does our club ever learn?

Harris has to go, whatever team spirit we had , he has destroyed.

Not a fan of Ridsdale , but he once went into the dressing room and asked what the Feck was going in.

Someone at the top needs to ask questions and quickly.

This is Trollope all over again.

And WTF was bringing on Harris with a minute to go about.

I text my mate at 2-2 and said we will lose it in stoppage time, again not a surprise when it happened.

Let’s be honest here. We are not good enough in every aspect. No point listing the deficiencies as they’re too obvious.
What gets me is how badly we start every game and have to play catch up. The opposition know this now and Harris has to realise a game starts when the ref blows his whistle at 3.00 not when he’s restarting it after we concede.
This is as said above like Trollope. The time has come for a change, Paul Cook is the man to get this team going.

Harris done more than what was expected to reach playoffs last season as many doubted him before we played a game, but I think it’s finally showing through his decisions with the team are not working.

Harris was backed in the transfer window. Granted he has had to cut the cloth BUT he just hasn't got the required nouse.

The run in after the covid enforced break was as unexpected as it was surprising.

He is clearly out of his depth, lacks man management, is not a motivator, tactician nor leader.

Everybody's on lock down apart from the City defence.

I believe the players have got a lot to answer for but ultimately the buck stops with the manager!
There does seem like something is going on behind the scenes team spirit, form, selection and so on...

What was achieved by bringing the substitution on with 10 seconds to go
Just cannot fathom the thinking

Can’t blame Harris for the players unable to do the basics for the first 45 minutes

The passion, commitment, basic ball control and passing was pitiful

What you can blame him for is setting us out far to defensively. We are on the back foot for first 20 minutes in virtually every single game

Its as if they try to do things the way Harris wants them in the first half of games , it doesn't work and they just ignore the instructions and play differently in the second

It seems like he has lost the dressing room already they do not look comfortable or happy with what they are being asked to do . Totally different from last season when everyone was congratulating each other and playing with smiles, they look miserable and nervous to me.

So it needs a change but we have a clueless board

sort of agree although the 3rd game would put us the other side of the international break.. which would be the best time to change if that becomes the case... he needs a win this week thats for sure..

Watching the players (non ) reaction to pulling a goal back then equalising I'd say the players don't care

They appeared to be very subdued strange considering how a close they were to at least gaining a point

NEIL HARRIS:

"We got what we deserved over the 90 minutes.

"First half was the worst I have seen us in my time in charge in my opinion - outfought, outrun, too many first contacts, second balls, didn't defend the penalty area in the first half hour of the game.

"I praise my players second half - outstanding, absolutely outstanding. We bossed the game much better and looked a lot better going forward.

"People will watch the goal and think what a goal, worth winning any game. It was, but it just sums us up over the course of the first half, where the ball goes forward and somebody runs off the back of us."

Thought id mention Livermore, hardly inspiring looking at his body language on the bench.

And hes our coach.
