Can anyone remember Tom Lawrence playing for us on loan?

I cant seem to remember how well he did for us? His stats say 14 games 1 goal but I don't remember it being a bad loan spell.

Should we have made an effort to sign him from Leicester? I think he went out again to Blackburn after us.

I seem to remember he did ok but nothing especially outstanding.

He's certainly been better for Derby than he was during his loan spell with us. I don't think there was ever a chance of us paying what Leicester wanted for him though.

I do remember one great run and fierce shot against the Wurzels away which their keeper turned onto the bar and Stuart O'Keefe headed in from about six inches but other than that I'm struggling to recall any great contribution made by him.

Definitely a decent Championship player but that's about his level I think.

I always thought he was a really boring player. When players like Harry Wilson or Lee Tomlin have the ball, particularly when in a dead-ball situation, I get a sense of optimism and hope, but when Tom Lawrence played for us or plays for Wales there's just nothing about the way he plays that excites me. In my opinion, his time at Cardiff reflected that - certainly not our worst player but definitely overhyped and ended up being bang average

His only goal was away at Barnsley in a one nil win. It was a boring game tbh.

He didnt set the world alight but was one of our better players.

In all fairness we were a below average team that year and we probably expected him to carry the team at times..

Decent enough player,just doesn't get the goals he should.

the fact you can not remember him answers your questions...was bang average.. i think a lot of fans expected him to be better than what he turned out i know i did...
