PPV Football Matches....Is It Worth It?

Sun Oct 25, 2020 7:24 pm

OK thank goodness Cardiff have not come to this whole debacle just yet but when you have a match that involves the 2 teams who are rock bottom and it ends in a 0-0 then £14 is a rip off. But thats just my opinion whats yours?

People who pay for PPV football are part of the problem

This is only going to end up one way and that will be having to pay extra to watch big cup finals, cbampions league and International tournaments if they find out fans will pay regardless. It needs stopping by boycotting PPV.

What if the game between the bottom 2 ended 7-5 with 3 red cards and 4 pens saved? Is £14 still a rip off?
If you decide to pay for a football game then you have to accept it could be entertaining, boring, fast, high scoring, hoof ball, tiki taka, etc. It’s football you can’t predict how a game will go and that’s a risk you’ll have to accept if you pay for it. Tough luck pal but if you’re willing to pay it, they’re gonna charge for it.

Also, Cardiff charge £10 for a stream to watch a game so I don’t know what you mean saying Cardiff haven’t done PPV.

That is different it is part of a second ticket. This is about PPV to watch football generally. If it is successful do you think they won't apply it to the Euros in the summer ?

You can guarantee if successful then agents will want players to have cuts of the money earned pushing wages up and in turn ticket prices to fans

no idea how this will be going forward { Euros etc } ..im like you paying via my ST but paying never the less as we had an option not to...and i know people who are not ST holders paying the individual tenners...i dont see much difference apart from the extra fiver with prem games tbh... ive watched 4 games on Sky this weekend and other than my Sky subs ive not payed a penny more { other than for our game } ..not sure what the gripe is.. it allowed Fulham and Palace fans to watch their teams yesterday just like we do....by paying.... i certainly do not think they should be free for them while charging ourselves thats for sure...
