Yet another WAG mess

Sun Oct 25, 2020 3:58 pm

Despite having to accept national lockdown effecting the mood of the public at large which will obviously effect the mental health of many, only two days in and another WAG cabinet minister says inevitably there will be more infections and deaths and so it’s probable another lockdown will take place in January. Bloody hell we’ve only just gone into this one. Give us all a break. More doom and gloom fostered upon us. If they have nothing positive to say just shut up. It’s hard enough as it is as we lead up to Christmas without these incompetent fools fuelling negativity as a matter of course. Gethin on tv this morning enjoying the limelight and despite receiving a massive petition from the public at large he dismisses it immediately. Another PR disaster. And ironically he is a Labour person - the party of the people. A joke. But it’s not funny at all. Hang your heads in shame.

Gethin's puckering up for a go at the (so called) top job in WAG, so don't expect much 'out of the ordinary' from him

As much as I dislike WAG and the majority of its members, I always keep in mind the fact that at least they put themselves forward for the people (who vote) to select and we who do not must take some responsibility for what happens next

I wouldn't personally put myself forward, so to that extent I have to be content(ish) with those that a thrust upon us; many of which are voted in for no other reason than they attach themselves to the (proverbial) red flag, which pretty much seals it in Welsh politics no matter what they do (or don't do)

We’ve basically got two TUC men running Wales in Drakeford and Gething.. neither understand business, and that’s why Wales will struggle with these comrades at the helm. People with views like theirs shouldn’t be anywhere near politics; when they are it usually fails..

Yes you're right.

Hopefully Gethin won't be anywhere near getting the top job in WAG after the next election but the worry is that despite them doing everything they can to shoot themselves in the foot there is still no credible alternative to Labour in Wales.

Absolutely agree.

The incredible arrogance and self importance of these political non entities is truly nauseating.

To literally dismiss the concerns of over 50,000 of their own population and offering nothing but the promise of further lockdowns and restrictions shows an utter contempt for those they see simply as their "subjects" to be dictated to and threatened at every opportunity.

Gethin is just a self preening peacock when it comes to politics. Drakeford the total opposite - he was a teacher (quit) then social worker (quit) somewhere inbetween that he became a lecturer and then decided that being an AM was a good place to polish a seat with his backside.

If the WAG ever wanted some proper leadership then they would need to encourage the likes of Terry Matthews or the guys from Admiral to come in and sort it out.

For the record some of the work the WAG do is great - other stuff pretty poor - WDA and Cardiff Airport spring to mind and when the newly nationalised Welsh railways go on strike for a payrise and less hours - then we will have completed our trip back to the mid 1970's.

If you want to see the 'metal' of the man. Look at the latest farce with the essential goods, the road to hell is paved with the best intentions. lets see who accuses him of a U turn - will they be the same ones that directed their comments at Johnson when he extended the non eviction ruling for private renters ?
