It’s great to have selection headaches again. Glatzel has to start in my eyes as when we play with Moore at the minute we look toothless in attack. And his decision making was really poor yesterday. Pack needs to be back in the team, but I find that Bacuna is the better partner for him as he has the legs. I doubt Jordi will be fit in time though so he’ll probably be covering at RB. I’d like to see Benkovic but as Morrison and Nelson have not done anything to deserve being dropped I can’t see that happening for a while.

What happens when we havent got the ball as so often happens. With that midfield City would get massively overrun and lose heavily. It may work on fifa but I'd bet my house the midfield wont look like that

Thats where training comes into play, working on the shape of the team and roles within it.

If you watch Man City play when they attack with very similar type and size players ( although higher quality) the full backs become midfielders and the defensive mid sits back in front of the defence allowing the midfield to be fully covered and in a way ending up with a 2341 when attacking so if the ball is lost they have men spare in midfield to close down quickly .

You don't just leave ralls alone and hope for the best its about discipline and players knowing there roles within the team

When Wilson and Tomlin are shrugged off the ball they have a canny knack of winning a fee kick.
Personally I like the idea of not playing a big striker. When you have skilful players like Wilson, Tomlin and Hoilett, they can play balls through the middle for Ojo or Murphy. Pace and trickery is more difficult to defend against than lumping it up to a target man. Definitely worth a try in some games. It keeps the opposition thinking.

We badly need to bring in a free transfer right back in till January.
Bacuna/pack needs to go in the middle of the park and vaulks can sit on the bench, last 2 games hes been so poor and its clear why giggs doesn't start him and picks levitt, Smith, Morrell start over him as his distribution is so poor.

Wednesday I think he's gonna go with
Bacuna RB cant see nelson or New lad as he wants our full backs to push on.

Would like to see us go 442 against Derby 352 cos our lone striker vs 3CB is pointless as we don't get enough bodies around them

It’s an away game so it’ll likely be the same team that started at Preston, injuries excepted.
He has to break up Ralls and Vaulks. Pack definitely.
He’ll start Hoilett instead of Murphy.
Moore could do with a goal. 2 is a poor return for £2m. He’s missed some gilt edges headed chances in recent games.

I think this is our strongest side when everyone is fit. But think Nelson will play instead of benko, hoilet on the wing, replacing Tomlin, with wilson at no.10. And I think Bacuna will drop for pack as we don't have cover at rb.

He's been awful so far this season, maybe the injury and lack of pre-season ? But his passing and energy levels are way off.

I'm presuming the Osei-Tutu will be out and Bennett in so my team would be:

You are right but we haven't played 3 at the back with Nelson and Benkovic who are both quick.

I'd only do it if we haven't got our two first choice full backs available as we can't afford to not have Bacuna's mobility in midfield.

We have the best away record this year in the division and people want to start messing around with the formation?

It's simple away from home the formation works as teams will come on to us and we sit in an counter with pace eg Preston. The problem is at home where the majority of teams will sit in and its our job to break them down eg Boro on Saturday. This is why we get better results at home against the good sides eg WBA and Leeds last season because it allows us to play like the away team at home.

Keep the same formation away as it clearly works but at home I'd like us to play 2 up top.
