I’m glad we don’t have to watch the style of football served up by Middlesbrough yesterday.

The Middlesbrough boss believes little has changed under his successor Neil Harris at Cardiff City, and he wasn't happy with the officials in the 1-1 draw

Cardiff City boss Neil Warnock claims Cardiff City's style of football hasn't changed under successor Neil Harris.
Warnock, now in change of Middlesbrough, returned to Cardiff City Stadium for the first time since leaving the Bluebirds last year, and watched on as his side were held to a 1-1 draw.
When he was unveiled as the new City boss back in November, Harris denied that he would be 'Warnock mark II', but Warnock himself isn't convinced the Bluebirds have deviated too much from the direct style of football that had it's fair share of critics despite bringing success.
Speaking after the game, Warnock said: "They [Cardiff] are the best physical side and the towel's round the side with every throw-in. We defended really well. We've done a thousand miles this week and the Middlesbrough fans should be proud of those players. We've responded in those three games.
NEIL WARNOCK:
"I was told they [Cardiff] had changed style since I'd left. It was weird getting off the bus and seeing one or two staff when I was there. But life goes on, it was the right time for me to leave. I'd done everything I could. I'm not sure the style of football has changed if I'm honest from what I was told."
However, despite his observations about the Harris era, Warnock clearly still holds plenty of warmth for his former employers.
"I had three great years here with Cardiff City. I'll come back even when I retire to watch a game. I'll have a walk round and thank them, they were amazing to me."
However, Warnock, perhaps typically, wasn't too keen on the performance of the match officials during his return to South Wales, believing there to be a foul in the build-up to Sheyi Ojo's equaliser.
"I thought we did enough to win it," he added. "Disappointed with the goal. It's an obvious foul to start with.
"They've blocked Saville to give Kieffer Moore a free header. Referees at this level should be able to see things like that. It's a disgrace really after last Saturday's offside that wasn't offside. That's four points we've thrown away this week with decisions."
