Sorry Sam, Restrictions :thumbright:

A lockdown is not allowed out of your house for 49 days accept for essential shopping and bags searched and not allowed to
Leave your local area , no pretend exercise , witness police on every roundabout etc etc I can tell you I have personally experienced a lockdown .

This is restrictions.

Re: LOCKDOWN AT 6PM - WHAT'S OPEN AND WHATS CLOSED

A total shambles, weeks and weeks of pathetic new restrictions which has messed the economy up and achieved nothing.

Re: LOCKDOWN AT 6PM - WHAT'S OPEN AND WHATS CLOSED

Fri Oct 23, 2020 4:31 pm

Complete farce. Local supermarket shelves wrapped in cling film to prevent shoppers touching and buying non essential goods.

Amazon will be raking it in EVEN MORE than normal ffs.

All that lost tax sure will not help.

Incompetence in the extreme.

Sadly, not the same thing at all, SamRean; restrictions they are and little else!

Lots will carry on without a care in the world (for themselves and/or others) and I point a rather large finger at those currently 'studying' (nee partying) at Cardiff's Universities and similar establishments. Some of the reports coming out of their residences about on-site partying and abusing the police trying to disperse them are an embarrassment to those who supposedly will be our future Business Guru's, Doctors, Barristers and Prime Ministers...

Send them home on first offence, I say; they are (apparently) educated and astute enough to know the rules

We did have a lockdown and people who went through it and tried to comply in this country know that. The reason some think we didn't was because a small minority ignored it and were pictured for national papers. The difference to the UK and other countries is we were not treated as animals and locked up like criminals.

Both ways resulted in the same outcome , both reduced infections, both had very similar death rates and both are now in the middle of a second wave

No government has been proven right in how to deal with this issue, everyone has failed no matter what lengths they went to.

The best for what I can see is Australia and New Zealand. They stopped all foreign travel which is the mistake we made after lockdown allowing foreign Holidays.

Thomas,

A few questions is it unlimited exercise in Wales outside your home and can you go to parks ?

Can people go to take aways?

Can people go to work in many industries?

What happens when you drive through different places?

Can people walk through their towns and villages ?

By the way I was back last week in Cardiff and I saw first hand the so called lockdowns between the towns and it was a complete farce

Where I live in Mallorca it did work the proper lockdown as we are still out abs about every day, working ,eating and drinking etc etc only because of the clown Boris did we lose tourism .

Remember I have now seen first hand both so called lockdowns.

I never ever want to do the one I did in Mallorca ever again, but it did work for 1.4mill people :thumbright: :thumbright:

The UK / Welsh one etc is a farce as it goes on for months and months and achieves nothing but financial loss and heartbreak to the genuine people

A totally pointless kicking the can down the road excercise that will solve absolutely nothing.

Just make sure you don't pick up any non essential items for your elderly relatives like a duvet to keep them warm.

It's all about control and always has been. None of these restrictions make any sense if you question them.

Correct.

And it's not about controlling a virus it's about controlling the population of a country.

I wonder if stopping you buying a kettle in Tesco for a fortnight is "following the science"?

Try getting them to come out if you've been burgled - if you manage to get through they'll just direct you to get a crime reference number

I agree whatever this restrictive circuit break , fire break half term thing they call a lockdown is, its nowhere near what we went through in March and April.
Its a farce .
Its too contradictory.
Either lock down or don't its simple I'm not sure what they are trying to achieve.
