NEIL HARRIS:

Neil Harris is asked if fans can expect Tomlin and Wilson to play together soon

Not long, I hope!

We've spoken loads about Tommo and how important he is, he is massive for us, as we know.

Having quality options in the team and off the bench is vital as we know.

Tommo, the ongoing battle, which it will be for the rest of his career, is getting him fit as often as possible to get him on the pitch.

He is a great character to have in the group and he has been on the grass all this week. It's getting him involved in the match-day squad which is important for us.

NEIL HARRIS:

Greg Cunningham injury update

Greg has had a scan and he will be out for four to six weeks. We won’t see him this side of the international break.

The other three are edging closer. Jordi [Osei-Tutu] and Benno [Joe Bennett] have been on grass today.

We could have the possibility of one, both or neither available.

Tommo [Lee Tomlin] is getting closer but not for tomorrow.

Neil Harris on Neil Warnock trying to sign Kieffer Moore

It’s safe to say there were at least 10-12 clubs trying to sign Kieffer. We were delighted to get him.

NEIL HARRIS:

Neil Harris on Cardiff's manic schedule

After balancing the fact that there were three games in six games and having good options, people deserve an opportunity.

I thought Robert [Glatzel] was very good the other night, especially in the second half.

We have options in the centre-forward area. Harry Wilson and Lee Tomlin as No.10s, we have got real impetus to be very dangerous this season.

Kieffer and Bobby (Glatzel) vying for a place… I wouldn’t be opposed to playing them both together/ Whether that’s tomorrow remains to be seen.

We played on the Sunday against Preston and Bristol on a Friday. It becomes seven games in 19 days for us.

It is what it is but it’s unfair and it’s wrong. We will have to be creative to be as fresh as we can be to get results.

NEIL HARRIS:

Harris is asked if he feels Cardiff are a victim of unforeseen circumstances?

It is what it is. I can’t control that. I’m not going to go over the top on it, I’ll leave that to everyone else.

People that pay the bills, the media companies, TV revenues are vitally important. If we are told we are on Sky then there we go.

I think it can be done slightly fairer.

Severnside derby, huge game, a good one for the fan base, but maybe not after a tough run of fixtures! But I’m not moaning about it.

Great form, the boys are great and the atmosphere is unbelievable.

NEIL HARRIS:

How would you reflect on what was left after Warnock and how much of this squad is yours, how have you developed it?

I think we have adjusted slightly. What Neil achieved here is class. They had a good time and we look forward to welcoming him back to the stadium.

Some personnel changed. A lot of players have left. There are some players here Neil signed, the managers before that as well.

I’ve put my stamp on it a little bit, a natural progression. We have grown as a group.

We have had a successful period for three or four seasons.

NEIL HARRIS:

Has it been tough to follow in Neil Warnock's footsteps?

I think so. Character-wise, you have to be a big character because he is such a big personality and loveable figure.

The success the club has had. I knew it was a challenge and I came to make myself a better manager.

I have developed a lot at Cardiff City and I’m enjoying my time here. I feel we are developing as a group.

We are finding our way again. 12 players have left since January and we are developing again, but that’s modern-day football. You have to evolve all the time.

NEIL HARRIS:

Does Warnock have an insight into how you might play?

I think so. Knowing the players and having an inkling to what they can do definitely helps.

It’s so in-depth now, so diligent behind the scenes now.

Neil and his staff would have watched us play the last three or four games like I’ve watched them.

You never quite know what you’re going to be playing against. So Neil, Jeppo and Blacky will know just like we think we are prepared as well.

Smithies, exceptional save the other night. Where does it rank for you?

I’ve seen Alex make a lot of saves like that over the years. Top goalkeepers make top saves at important times.

Alex is for me one of the top goalkeepers at this level. It was a key moment in the game, still 1-0 at the time. A big save and when teams do break you down and find a way through you then you need your last line of defence to be strong.

NEIL HARRIS:

Bagan, no worries about him again if needed?

I thought Joel was excellent, assured, disciplined, better as the game went on.

I thought he went from strength to strength, no concerns about playing him in the future. I am always careful I don’t put too much expectation on young players.

I said the other night he is a quiet, unassuming character. It’s always good for a young player to grow in standing within the group.

He shows his qualities every day on the training pitch and the players think he is a very good player.

To actually go out and produce it in a game of that magnitude as well, Bournemouth are a top side.

He was largely untroubled and grew in confidence.

NEIL HARRIS:

Important now to have strength in depth?

"Ultimately, if you want to be successful, you have to have those options," he said.

"Teams like Bournemouth showed the other night, with the teams they didn't have in their group (like Josh King and David Brooks), Norwich have got it in abundance, Watford have got in an unbelievable squad.

"No disrespect to the other teams in the division, but you go back to last season and teams like Leeds, the options they had, West Brom and Fulham.

"I now feel we've got that. You add two strikers to an attacking eight players I've got, only being able to play four of them at any one time.

"It's important to have that strength in depth."

ALEX SMITHIES:

Smithies on THAT save against Bournemouth

I thought it was really important. Always nice to make a save like that and make it have some sort of impact on the game.

Those saves are the most important to me.
