Brighton would demand at least £50m for Ben White if Liverpool come calling in January, according to The Sun.

The 23-year-old, chased by Leeds in the summer having spent last season on loan at Elland Road, recently signed a new four-year deal at Brighton.

Brighton reportedly would not stand in the way of White moving to a big-six club, but only if the offer received was substantial.

Andy, be honest here (my brother-in-law is a proper Leeds United supporter (actually from that area) and Brighton told Leeds they wouldn't sell to them, as there would no advantage to the player, who they believe will eventually go to a Top 6 club

Beyond that, I have to say a great start to the season for Leeds and I feel they'll have no real relegation worries, so long as they keep hold of Bielsa; and both history and the signing of a one-year contract extension show that is no certainty
