NEIL HARRIS:

"Home advantage has gone without the fanbase there.," Harris said.

"It just becomes a level playing field with 22 footballers running around on it. Away record in the last 12 months speaks for itself. It’s the best in the country.

"But that doesn't change the fact you want to win home games. Just because you’re at home. You feel with football that’s the way it should be.

"Come the end of the season, if we're in the top six and we've won more points away than at home, no one will bat an eyelid. However, we want to get back to winning ways at home and that starts with the next four days and the 2 home games we’ve got.

"We've got a lot to prove in the game. We've got momentum from the weekend, where we had a fine performance, following up an excellent point at Blackburn a couple of weeks before.

"So we’ve had had a really good spell and a really good transfer window. Our point to prove is that we need to get the ball rolling at the Cardiff City Stadium as I think quite a lot of teams do in the UK at the moment, with the amount of away wins.

"But we’re one in particular, where we’re conscious of the fact that we need to get off the mark at home."

They were discussing this on talksport the other morning, the general consensus was that some players need the crowd on their backs to keep them motivated later on in games and because of that, there have been more defenders switching off and more late goals. On the other hand, some players were feeling less pressure and that enabled them to play more freely, that is why they thought games were better with more goals being scored and more strange results.

I suppose the only benefit now is familiarity and a home routine with no travel, maybe this is going against us, should we start getting together in a hotel the night before home games, and change the routine if we are not already doing this?
