£4.5b split between around 16 clubs what it will mean is the clubs from premier league involved around 6/8 clubs will be able to buy who the hell they like making premier league pointless to those left in it ...... it's a power grab from fifa who have tried before to muscle in on UEFAs riches (champions league) its truly disgusting from liverpool and man u to destroy what we have in English football.

Let them go with a no return policy unless they start again in the conference with the ffp rules to obide by.

They should not be allowed to play in two seperate leagues

Redistribute the wealth Round the smaller British clubs

Get fans of all other clubs to boycot watching the new league and it will collapse within a few seasons leaving them stuck

Only problem is UEFA as got contract think until 2024? But there again clubs are not obligated to play in their cup competition..... its more about tv contracts I guess. Premier league wont be affected as be midweek games now we know why those two wanted less games so that they can play in this league

What will the point of premier lea be when only 6 clubs can win it? They will drop both cups or devalue them with under 23 teams! Unfortunately cannot see premier league doing anything as dont have that many midweek games so this new league will just skirt around the premier league fixtures ... sky wont object either as still have the best players ect playing in premier league...

It will never happen...Sabre rattling from the big 6. Give us more power or we are off !!

It will soon become a Harlem Globetrotters league. No relegation or reason to fight other than the winners.

There are always breakaway league in American sport, they all generally fail.

The top 6 are 3 Lancashire clubs & 3 London clubs, so you couldn't even pretend it to be regional and "support" your team and the uber league team.

It would soon be franchised, Manchester won't need two clubs so one of them may as well play in the middle east.

Arsenal Hotspurs can merge and chelski may as well play in Russia

Good let them go. Premier league 1 & 2 looks like a better idea now more than ever.

Not sure where sky rights came in ? Just said sky wont object as premier league will be same as new league will be midweek! But Will be interesting as to who gets tv rights , but maybe clubs will have the power to negotiate own deals as £4.5b coming from outsiders not tv...... :old:

They would need FA and UEFA permission. Cant see either granting it unless they are also blackmailed into accepting it.

Time for this much talked about government enquiry into the governance of football in the UK.

If it doesn't infringe on premier league games and its sanctioned by fifa be very difficult to block their participation... after all the integrity of premier league wont be compromised if all the clubs can fulfill fixtures with the nessasary amount of registered players. Surely
City is slightly different as need to be sanctioned by fifa which this league is..

of course the premier league will not be the same... no European places because there is no way these clubs can be in that as well . so finishing top 4 will not no more mean big pots of European money...
think these clubs need to look long and hard myself.. being billy big bollox here dont mean your going to be billy big bollox in this new league, somebody is going to end up being the equivalent of Palace or Burnley... what then..? dump a few and revamp it with the new york yankees and harlem globetrotters ?

This is to replace champions league and Europa league for these clubs! Fifa tried before to muscle in on UEFAs competitions..... the 4.5b is in lew of tv rights obviously fifa and people financing this believe it will work but time will tell if it's the case.....

yes mate...so when you have x amount of pre determined clubs in this new league where does anyone else finishing in the top 4 come into it ? 1/2 of the league will be safe from the drop and unable to win the title with 10 games to go..hows that not effect the premier league..

The timing of this, so soon after the other clubs turned down the 'rescue package', is maybe a shot across the bows for the rest of the English Premier League and/or Football League?

Either way, it's early days and many 'experts' are saying it won't take off for varying reasons; but if the will is there, it might well happen eventually and the clubs involved won't give a hoot about those they leave behind or those who perish in the resulting aftermath. The Premier League simply won't be the same and that in turn will effect the whole of the pyramid system as we know it :(

nobody is actually standing behind this or taking responsibility... lots of people to pacify to make this a goer.. all the clubs not involved who think they should be.. all the FAs of the involved clubs who no matter which way you cut it will have devalued competitions and UEFA... its something thats been talked about for decades just like the 2 Glasgow clubs joining the English pyramid system....it comes and it goes ...too many obstacles
