Joshua King is back in training and in the manager's thoughts ahead of the Cherries' trip to Cardiff City on Wednesday.

The Norwegian striker has appeared just once for Jason Tindall's side since the start of the new season, with the manager outlining the situation with King in his pre-match press conference.

"Josh trained with the squad yesterday," he said. "He trained well and will train with the squad again today and we'll just assess whether he'll be involved or not for tomorrow's game.

"Once the window shuts I think you can either be disappointed, sulk and handle it in that way or you can come back with motivation, fire in your belly to go and do well and prove to everyone what a good footballer you are.

"That's certainly where Josh is. We had a good chat yesterday, he knows he's here and is itching to show everyone what a good player he is and to score goals in the Championship."

New loan signing Cameron Carter-Vickers is available and under consideration, though the defender hasn't played competitively since the end of the last Championship season.

Tindall may also soon be able to call on two other important squad members who are both closing in on returns.

The manager explained: "David Brooks is back training, he was back out on the training field again yesterday and we'll see today how he is.

"Lloyd Kelly is the same, he trained with the group yesterday, his first group session, and he'll train with the group again today."

Wednesday evening's match with the Bluebirds could pitch the Cherries against a player who netted seven times for them in the Premier League last season.

"Harry Wilson's time here last year was a really productive one," said Tindall of the winger, now on loan with Cardiff. "He had a great season with Derby, came to the Premier League with us last year and was one of our top goalscorers.

"One thing you get with him is someone who's very dangerous and gets himself in goalscoring positions, so he's someone we have to be aware of.

"I enjoyed working with him while he was here and he is someone I've got a huge amount of respect for because of the professional he is and the way he conducted himself every single day during his time in Bournemouth."

They've ha d a decent start, will be a tough game. Need to get that first home win though and keep on the tails of the pack from the off.

I'm looking forward to this one.
