"We all Defended well" - Sean Morrison

FT: Preston 0-1 Cardiff

Cardiff City captain Sean Morrison told Sky Sports: "It was a great win, it's a tough place to come whether there are fans or not but we defended the box well.

"We still have a lot of work to do going forward and in our build up play but I'm delighted with the clean sheet.

"They put a lot of crosses in the box but we defended really well, not just the back four but the whole team.

"This win puts us in good stead, it's exciting and I like playing three games a week, you don't have time to think about results you just have to get on with games."

"We still have a lot of work to do going forward and in our build up play..."

Well that's a relief.

He's always been a good defender but under Harris I have been impressed with his willingness and ability to bring and pass the ball out from the back.

He's let down often by the three in front of him and lack of general movement.

Looking at the stats our pass rate was pretty poor again, but the main culprits were the midfielders.

Anyway, at least we know that it is recognised by players and coaches that our passing and forward play needs to drastically improve

At least its being addressed id say,yes we only had a 74% pass rate success, but would hardly say it needs drastic improvement, but deffo needs work.
